walking down the street.

Angela: God!! I could kill them! It's a kitchen, I'm sure there are knives... I could just... you know (makes stabbing and slashing gestures, a couple of kids on the same side of the street watch her and cross the road, glancing at her every so often)God. how can I go home? How can I tell my mother? I should tell her right? I mean it wouldn't be right to hide it?

Brian: I think...

Angela: I can't tell her! It would kill her.

Brian: well maybe she already suspected...

Angela: God! and I knew! I knew my father had those... tendencies. You know I've caught him chatting up some girl, and on the phone to some... woman. God. How could I let this happen?

Brian: Angela, its not your...

Angela: hey, what am I saying? Its his fault!! Bastard!

Brian: right. he...

Angela: God. he had the choice. I can't believe it. and he said that it could never happen to us. God. my mother. she *has* to know.

they have arrived at their street, and are standing in between their housese.

Brian: right. she should know.

Angela: I know. She *should* know.

Angela starts to walk to her house, slowly. she turns around.

Angela: Brian, I can't see her. She'll know somethings wrong. she'll be all concerned. God. She'll cry. I'll make her cry. Brian, I can't watch my mother cry. I can't!

Brian walks over and hugs her.

Brian: it's okay. you can stay at my house for a while. no one's home. you should wait 'til you're ready.

they walk over to Brian's house. Brian unlocks the door, and they go inside.
