Me and all my friends always tape all the shows and have slumber parties and end up just crying ALL night, I mean uh how could people be so prejudice against Ricky just because he's not exactly like them,you know? I mean i totally know how it is, cause my bother is gay and so is one of my very good friends. So i feel for all the gay people in the world.
I know this might sound kind of wierd but if any body who reads this message ever wants to talk about any thing you can just email me. I am only 15 but all my friends say i give really good advice,but thats usually about like what to wear and stuff,but still just email me,i'll always be here for you.

Ever since MSCL first aired and I was around nine-ten I think I've fallen in love with the show. Inappropriate (perhaps)but I understood all of the subject matter, and it was just a brilliant show. I was devastated when they stopped airing the show.
Well since I began watching MSCL at an early age..you can probably infer that I began watching MTV early too. I was so psyched when MTV began airing MSCL, and with each episode..I began to relate to MSCL in a totally different way I had before. And like many others every time I watch an episode..I cry. When the show was first canceled I bawled..maybe because I knew there would never be another show like it, maybe because I needed closure.
Now more than ever I can say that Angela Chase represents every teen, though I can relate to Brian too. Taking all AP courses, and graduating early I understand the pressure, and stress such a tedious academic life may bring. I am a true (Angela and Brian ) believer..and it saddens me to think of how the series ended with Brian- ( a total cutie.. I agree with whomever said that)left under a lamp post . Though I must say Jared Leto... is HOT! Basically I miss each and every MSCL cast member/character. Currently, I am using "Dawson's" as a substitute..but nothing will ever replace MSCL. PLus I'm proud owner of the MSCL tapes currently released, and I plan to get the rest.
Anywayz as much as this has been repeated, drilled into my skull, and backed up with valid information i will NEVER give up! If cheesy shows such as "The Wonder Years" which recently had a reunion..well HAVE them so should MSCL. It's the perfect time for one..half a decade has passed, more fans have been gained (worldwide), and the old ones are still going strong. I know we can put this together! There is so much GAIN from this...internationally..there should be some sort of reunion episode ..a closing..something! Or at least Winnie Holzman should release some sort of ending..to be posted, bought, whatever! She just has to realize how much this show has meant to us..no wonder it had a such a great cult following . And though some fans are stubborn and say that they like it better this way..where they can make up their own endings I don't. My answer to them- well then you justt don't watch that/read that, whatever. Currently I am working on a petition related to "Dawson's", and an upcoming
guest member. Well I've got a million signatures and I am sure the people of DC will pay attention to the petition..and do somethin' about it..if not go through with it ..then alter their content slightly, whatever. So I am willing to sign up/help create a MSCL petition. Anyone else interested contact me..about that as well as my anti-Britney Spears on DC thing. And no I am not some obnoxious teenager I have valid points,etc. to bring up..please don't ever assume.
So let me finish this by sayin' the lines were so realistic, original and true to life. Every episode kept me at the edge of my side, and still does! So let the spirit of "My so-called Life" live on..and perhaps we can ressurect it..even if just for a little. We all deserve that much!

Felicity: Nope, there are no MSCL fanfiction books available. But you can purchase a book (second one is coming out in october) by Catherine Clark which is merely a summary of the first episodes. Just go to amazon.com and search for "My So-Called Life" or "Catherine Clark".

I don't think that there are somewhere statistics about "My So-Called Life" or its fans. Probably ABC (*spit*) has some secret anlysis hidden deep down in their archives, but I guess they are totally wrong. :-)
If you want to read a very good episode-analysis, then check out "Angela's World" by William Blais. You can find it here: http://www.mscl.com/library/ and click on that book entitled "Angela's World".

And, hey, when you've finished your Media Exam, why don't you e-mail us a copy of your work ? I would like to see a scientific approach to MSCL :) The same goes out for everyone else who did write an essay/homework/exam/whatever about "My So-Called Life". Just e-mail us !

I don't know whether Eric will write more stories. At least I hope he will, but I think he hasn't much time anymore. But the best way to find it out is to ask him yourself ! You'll find his e-mail address on the author's page and below every story. (Oh, und Grüsse nach Deutschland :)
