  • Starletta & Mel & Jessica - 05/30/98 05:20:46Country: USAComments:This web page is da bomb! We've all watched MSCLfor like ever, and love that there are still peoplekeeping it alive. Much respect to those who takethe time to write these awesome stories. We knowit's been said before, but MSCL is so REAL, everyteen can relate, not to mention Jared Leto is so HOT!Thanx to everybody for keeping it real, we're out. :-)
  • *Man*. It took me a little time to get used to the new lay out, but I think it's great. Just read "favorite moments" again after a long time and instantly I felt the magic again. It nearly made me cry with joy. To all you fanfic-writers: it's *magic* whatyou do. You all make a difference. And I am so proud to be a part of that. "Live and be prosperous".
  • Lauren rose - 05/26/98 19:50:14Country: Yorkshire, EnglandComments:My So-Called life was the best show ever and I can't understand why they cancelled it. When so many people could empthise with Angela and her life and her friends. It's obvious that MSCL toched the hearts of many people.
  • Sascha! This site keeps growing & growing! The changes you made are wonderful. I just had to drop a line to thank you again for all the hard work you put into this. I'm so glad that my stuff is on here. What a *wonderful* place to call home. There ws a time I could say that I'd read all the MSCL fanfic that existed. Not anymore! There's just too much! But I think it's a good thing. A *great* thing even! Keep up the great work!
  • Hola,I love my so-called life, i have since the very first time it was on tv. I was always really mad that they cancelled it. I love all the stories and poems that are here to read, its almost like mscl lives on in its fans.kisses and moonbeamsRain
  • Sarah Riley - 05/24/98 03:49:32Comments:
  • Sascha, you are the greatest! It's obvious you put a lot of time and hard work into the site, and so manyof us are eternally grateful. I love to read all the new stories and poems, and I've even printed out Shannon and Shobi's (ER's) stories. I get so happy and excited when there's a message in my mailbox from the fanfiction site--it means someone has doneit again, written a great story or poem or MSCL thingy for all of us to enjoy. I hope you know, Sascha and also all the authors, how much your efforts are appreciated by everyone. Here's to all of you!!! :-]
  • Superb!! Excellent collection of great stories and poems. Good job!!I like the layout of your site too.
  • I can't begin to say how glad I am this site exists. I'm still not over the cancellation of My So-Called Life and this website keeps me sane ;) Thanks for existing!PS this is one of the few websites I've seen that has both a great quality and great quantity. Incredible content AND design. I love it!
  • i cannot even begin to tell you how much i love ths site. i come here almost everyday(i'm addicted) just to read things i've read hundreds of times. and the second i get an update e-mail i'm here.i am, as my friends say, a hardcore my so called life fan. i have printed out every script from the actual series (from the pilot to the in dreams episode) and i have, and am proud of, tapes of the episodes in order. which was a painstaking but so worthwhle experiance. and i also have written a continueation script of my own which, if i ever finish, i would be honered to have it on this excellent page.this as well as countless other fan sites prove one very important thing:that my so called life didn't die out just because ABC wasn't happy with it's ratings. it lives on in all the people it touched. and if that makes me crazy for being obsessed, and dedicated with this show then most of the rest of us fans are crazy too, ad proud of it.thank you for having the GREATEST mscl site i've ever seen on the web.
  • This is by far the absolute best MSCL site on the web!!!
  • oh my gosh, how do i start?my so called life is possibly the best show ever created. the characters and stories in mscl are so real that they continue to haunt me years after watching it for the first time. i guess in this sense, you could say that the show will live on forever.i will perhaps never forget the way i felt when angela finally "got" jordan, and how unbelievably creepy it felt to watch angela and sharon's argument in the washroom, feeling that increasing sense of de ja vu. i don't want to sound like a critic, or aeen magazine, but mscl is really a show that i could relate to.i think one of the best ways to sum up the whole show in one sentence, would be to say that the show gives you something to think about when you're home and in bed, angst filled with the normal everyday problems that andolescents face these days.
  • Said it before, say it again: I love this site!So great to see so many people watched MSCL from start to finish and loved it as much as I did. (or even more!) fun to see that there are also people who like combining series like MSCL with X-Files. Especially Jeroen's stories are good. Very curious howt will develop. I am very impressed by Shobi's stories (which I all downloaded and printed to read more easily) and he really deserves a virtual round of applause. Perhaps in the future there will be another series. I am interested in the idea to write aout MSCL in, like, 1998. So when the characters are older. What would that bring? Maybe someone is already trying to write such a story. If not, I would like to try together with someone else. (two know a lot more than one !-) Sacha, this site is grrreat!thanks for bringing this opportunity to the fans.greetings from Groningen, the Seattle of Holland.(as in: Rock City)Jasper.
  • Really, truthfully, I don't have any. I saw this site in a magazine and decided to check it out so so far so good! :-}
  • I liked the simplicity the series would tell the life of teens, so to speak. And I was a huge Angela fan, for she was the girl full of flaws we all wanted to fall in love for.Grahan was a show on his own, he was so great that , in fact, he was the only thing "not real" in the show. But he was great.I do comic books. And soon I'll do some MSCL pages to homage claire. Maybe I send them to you. It will be a story different from the usually seen here, that I can tell you.thanks for listenningFabio Moon
  • Your site kicks ass. 'Nuff said.
  • Hooray for MSCL!!
  • Iremember watching the show ages ago, then the series finnished, and I forgot all about it. I wrote to a T.V station here in England and asked them to air it again, and hooraa! Ive got the set on tape. Its the best show to ever hit the planet, cos I can rlate to it so much, Claire Danes rocks, and Jared, well, what can I say!! ((hugz)) :)
  • It was real. And we all knew it. I remember the night it was canceled. It just stopped airing. In its place was Matlock. My best friend and I went crazy. We actually called the TV station to see when it would return. They refused to answer us. Nothing wasright after that. Television became a whirl of one liners, Soap Opera themes, and two demensional plots. This site helps us to voice everything real to us or things we know would be just as real to Angela Chase.
  • Since we have many German speakers here I will say:Ich liebe diese Fernsehserie! Ich kann mit Angela Chase verbinden. Ich bin auch eine, die alles analysiert!...In other words, MSCL rocks. I was 15 when the show aired (same as Angela). I can't believe it was taken off the air=( MSCL and Swans Crossin(my other favorite teen show) made my adolescene! Oh well, MSCL lives on in this way cool page and fanfiction. Danke fuer dieses Webpage!
  • Hi,nice page...
  • Hi and welcome to the MSCL fan fiction site !I just finished uploading the new fanfiction layout (finally ;-). I hope that the tables aren't too big and load fast. The site is still under heavy construction. (i have still too much ideas ... ;-)So thanks to everyone, who has left a message in this guestbook. Be sure, i read and enjoyed every single entry !And an incredibly huge "thank you" to the authors -- hey, we made * 1 0 7 * stories ... wow !!I'm sure, Winnie Holzman would be proud of us... ;-)Oh, something to Sean's question about the age of MSCL-Fans: It's a phenomenon of MSCL that it has fans of nearly every age.Although the biggest part of fans are between 12 and 18, a (not) surprisingly high quote is older than 29. I know even of some fans older than 50.If only the "Nielsen family" would have liked it as much as we do ... :-)see ya soon ...
    Sascha (so-called webmaster)
  • live the spirit of this great show.
  • Hi Everybody!I just want to let everybody how much I enjoy the site. The stories are great. One of these days I may build up the nerve to send in a story of my own. So congrats Sascha, and thanks for keeping MSCL alive.
  • Anyone out there, or know of someone, who's a good comic-book style illustrator/artist and an MSCL fan? Preferably it should be an artist who could be a working pro but isn't due to lack of published work.If so, please get in touch with me. It concerns a website I might be setting up. Thanks....Howard
  • MSCL is a kick !@# web-site, i love it! me and my friends can spend hours on it trying to submit stories and scripts! well good work and keep up your kick ass good work!Sarah Elizabeth
  • You know I like feel an obligation or whatever to write something...and that blows...so I have this philosophy "whatever happens happens." Or something. If ever in doubt TINO KNOWS!!!!
  • I love the show! I can't believe that it didn't get another season. I really wish it would have. I still watch the reruns. I also still love the show. I just wish Angela and Jordan would make up their minds and get together!
  • r dedicating this site to one of the best shows to ever exist on television.
  • This is by far the coolest web sight I've ever been on. I thought that I was probably the most obsessed person with MSCL in the entire world, but now I'm not so sure. You guys should see my scrapbook! I want to congradulate the writer's for the scriptshey have created, they are so unbelievebly realistc, it's great.
  • This is a kick ass web sight!!!!!! I read about it in US magazine and immediantly wanted to try it! As soon as I get a story written i plan to send it in. Keep up the awesome job. Love and Sunshine, "A My So-Called Life Fan Fiction Fan"
  • MSCL WAS A WONDERFUL SHOW THEY NEVER SHOULD HAVETAKEN IT OFF THE AIR.TO ME IT WAS LIKE REAL LIFE.
  • h a cult following. This site is really cool, I'll come back soon.
  • I saw the URL for your site in US Magazine. This is an excellent site. What a great way to remember a show that never should've been cancelled!!!
  • What a wonderful site. I stumbled across it quite by accident but it reactivated my interest in the show and made me remember what an incredible program it was. The characters were so real and alive and you could so relate to almost all of them in somway. The stories here are wonderful and incredibly accurate. They have gotten me through many an all nighter doing essays!! To all the authors out there...please keep writing your stories are brilliant!
  • I love MSCL but I think that in creating thesefictional stories, some fans have gone a littleoverboard. Jared if you are reading this, I think that you are a very talented actor and would loveto meet you some day.
  • Well, you know, I think this place is amazing!!!!! I have been looking for this place for a long time. I have seen every episode, and read every script!!! I am basically obsessed. I am 13...almost Claire Danes age when she got the part (God!!!!!!!!! Ifonly I were her!!!!!) Basically, I identify with every single sentence and every single look and every single situation in that. Me and my friend have also sort of put ourselves in the parts...how do you explain it....like how we would react the same inthe same circumstances...and we have found how very similar it is.....god, I'm babbling aren't I...I'll stop now. Anyway, I heard about this from the US magazine "surf it" (how cool!!!) and I wrote a poem....:) I just hope some people like it. :)
  • I love MSCL. I started watching the show when MTV started airing it this last time. I've now seen every episode at least 5 times. I just haven't seen the first half of the first episode. I keep missing it and it's driving me crazy! I love this websight!I heard about it through US magazine.) I've read every script. I don't like the ones where Angela ends up with Brian. Angela and Jordan. That's what I like. I think most teenagers can totally relate to MSCL. Ta-Ta!
  • Comments:MSCL is one of the best series that I have had the pleasure of watching. It is in this series that we can find a part of our selves in the charactors that were portrayed on a weekly basis in the show. It is that felling that made the show so emotional ad heart fulling for thousands of souls across the world. It is a sad fact that the series was canceled in it's opening moment of glory. Holding us back from a work of art. Leaving us with a uncompleted masterpiece, that some may considered worthy of gratness. Imagine if we had been left with half of one of the greatest stories of all time, like Romeo and Juliet and etc. We would have been robbed of unreplacable moments and times of joy. And for MSCL, we have been robbed of a great work in the proces. So for those who loved the show. My sympathy for it's cancelation, but let's not let this be the last chapter in MSCL. Write your stories and tell everone how you feel. Keep the dream alive. Who said that you need some big flashy company to make thshow. If it was up to me, I would pay the actors every dime I had and film it with my home camcorder just to say it was completed. If it was only that easy, but it is not. So all we are left with dreams of what once might have been. And finally, Claie, If your reading this, ( and I doubt it ) come back to us and answer the dreams of millions across the world.
  • Susan Lu(Li-Qin Lu) - 03/14/98 03:10:17Country: People' Republic of ChinaComments:do you know MSCL is also loved by many friends of mine?though lives are a bit different here,we still love it 'cos it feels so real.i've cried several times when watching the show as if i've been thru what happened on the show.it only re-run once on pearlbut i got some episodes recorded.my favorites are brian and angela.i've read some fan fics and i think you guys are doing a great job.keep going!
  • Gunvor Aakre - 03/13/98 12:29:03My Email:gaakre@post.hornnes.vgs.noCountry: NorwayComments:MSCL is the best serie that ever has been made, and though its like three years since I saw it last time.... It `s a shame that they quitted it at that early stage.MSCL RULES FOREVER!!!!!!
  • Just thought I'd say a few words. I love the showMSCL and E.R. Holdridge's fan fics are the nextbest thing to a new season. I hope I see morescripts for Holdridge soon.
  • This is an incredible page that keeps MSCL going. The stories could easily be real episodes, and the dialouge sounds exactly like things the characters would say. I hope MSCL fans continue to write great stories. This is a great page, and MSCL is/was an aazing show!
  • Catherine - 02/26/98 15:19:56My Email:colinger@club-internet.frCountry: FranceComments:I discovered My so-called life two months ago and I really LOVE it, even if in France, life is not really like that, but the feelings are the same! That's really great to have a site which proposes to read some stories which are written by others fans, anI hope it will go on...
  • I really think it's great that SOMEONE is doing something to keep this show alive. I think it says alot about our generation when we pull together to keep something we really believe in. It's a crying shame they thought it appropriate to cancel a show thawas the only real true-to-life portrayal of teen-age life. Congratulations and thanks to Michelle and the other authors for giving us the outlet to express our thoughts and feelings about such an important and worthwhile subject. This is so much more thajust about MSCL, this is about us and our determination to stick together despite all.

  • Thank you !Thank you Sascha for creating and more importantly maintaining this site.Thank you All writers for your stories.Well I haven't read any story (except Scream 1) because I am a so-called new comer of MSCL. I discovered it 2/3 months ago only. Of course a tape all the episodes.I am waiting the end of the show before reading the stories, I think that it is better. This way your stories will continue the show smoothly. The show has been canceled. I know this isn't a scoop, but thanks to you the show grows up with many new stories.Let's the season two be all your stories.Let's the season three be our so-called life.
  • Oh yeah, Ilove that poem "Red" I read it just about every day. When my friends first read it they thought that it was about a boy and a girl not aboy and his car.P.S. Love that Show ..*****(4 starrs )

  • I am so excited about this page. I just read about it in US magazine and I spent my entire weekend reading the stories. There are a great bunch of writers out there and it was so exciting to see how the characters would have (possibly) developed after eisode 19. I think this page is great and I will look forward to reading all the future stories and poems!! Thank you again for keeping this show alive for all of us who loved it so much! Brandi (Syracuse, NY)

I was the same age as Angela and going through the same idendity crisis, except I didn't need to dye my hair, cause it's already red. I watched the series faithfully, and was severly disappointed when it was cancelled. Viewing this site brought back all the good memories of the show and from that period in my life. (thank you MTV)... and ivalready read the continued scripts online and i cried my eyes out!... totally amazed that the scripts could be just as amazing as the show... it gets even better guys... i havent read Michelle's versions yet but theres always room for more... well... tats all...
  • I loved my so called life. i watched it every single week when it was on the air. out of every episode, i only missed the first half of the first episode. too bad, cause i don't have cable :-( and can't watch it on mtv. i'm really cheesed atabc for not sticking with it longer. i mean, party of five, which started the same year, didn't start off well either and fox stuck with it, and now its one of its most popular shows. i just wished that the show was given a real chance, not just half aeason. oh, well. at least it hasn't been forgotten.
  • When this show was on the air and the episodes were new i watched it religeosly. So naturaly when i heard it was going off the air i was really sad but now that i think about it if it hadn't have ended Romoe an Juliet wouldn't be the same!! in other wordsi think it's great the actors got on with it and are still out there entertaining the pants of us!!
  • Thanks alot for such a great web page! MSCL is my favorite show.:-)
  • Excellent I have not had to buy a book for ages what a superb site, at present I am just finishing off the stories by Michelle, which are truly excellent and also put a smile on my face a few times. What a great way to keep the spirt alive, and I have also got to mention about the site itself it is probably my fave, as it is always updated and looks professional, so keep up the good work everyone, I wish I was as talented as all of you.Oh and if anyone would like to drop me a line to chat about the show, you know what to do!!So Take Care EveryoneA MSCL & Jordan Fanatic..... he is Top Totty
  • ger today. When Winnie Holzman created this series she must have truly understood the views and problems for which we go through on a daily basis and it truly shows. It also gives you a group of actors who give you the lines as if they where truly thereown and that they where fashioned as their own. They make you believe in their charachter and make you believe that if they can go through the problems for which they face that you can as well. You can truly watch this show and relate to everything abouit. I know that if ABC would have received My So-Called Life today and right now they gulp it up in a minute. MSCL was ahead of its time and took the plunge where others would not go and that is what makes it so unique and special and importanto all of us. Thank You. Jennifer Carpenter
  • My So Called Life ruled more than anything anywhere ever, and I was crushed when it was canceled. I saw this site advertised in US and I checked it out and it RULES!! Angela, Rickie, Rayanne, Jordan and everyone else live on, and that itself makes the wrld a better place. All you guys who write stuff here are money, maybe I'll have to try it too. Keep up the great work!
  • Hi, I thought I was the only person who loved MY SO CALLED LIFE more than anything. This website was the best idea anyone has ever thought of, after I had watched all the shows over and over and over agine I thought , "Is thier a way I could write tothe producers and get them to somehow bring the show back"? Well now I dont need to do that!
  • this site absolutly rules! thank you so much! i've loved mscl ever since it first aired, this site helps to keep it alive. im glad i saw the mention in US magazine otherwise i would have missed all of this fun! thanks!
  • i love it! Found it in US of course and had to check it out.I'll visit much
  • I think this is the coolest thing in the world!! I love MSCL and it's so cool that I can find these pictures....Awesome job to everyone who did this, I love this show and Jordan is hot!!!!
  • Wow , I found out about this site in US magazine too and have been here everyday since I found it! You guys rule. I didn't start watching msl until it was first on MTV but now every time they show it I'm there. I love this show because I know people justlike every character in it...for real. Plus I love how every episode ends with like some sort of dramatic thought that just makes your throat clench because it's so profound. You guys have done a great job quenching my thirst for more.THANKS.
  • Thank-you very much for such a great site! After a trip to the U.S, and my introduction intoMSCL i just can't seem to forget about such a different television program! We have never gotten MSCL in AUSTRALIA so i don't even get re-runs here!I found this site thanks to U.S magazine!

  • Hi I just wanted to say this page is a keeper. I found out about in US magazine. I love the stories and the poems. Excellent job to all those who have made MSCL COME BACK ALIVE..
  • Wow, I just wanted to say that I think the fanfiction page is a truely wonderful idea! Unfortunately here in Canada we no longer get episodes of the show. What I would give to have MTV!! I was devastated when MSCL went off the air -- it was the most intlligent thing on T.V. and will be remembered forever. Now, with the help of all these talented writers, it's like watching the show all over again. Thank you so much. You are all doing a great job and keep up the good work!!
  • Congrats on the US magazine notice! Great page! Keep up the good work.
  • Hi, Sascha! You're getting quite famous with that US Magazine Article...the only thing I can say is WAY TO GO!!! As I told you before, I always loved your site. Keep up the good work! And to the authors, don't stop writing. =-)Smiles!
  • Wow! I read about this website in US magazine! They were totally right! I read a bunch of the fan fiction stories last night and somemore today. It was totally like I was reading a script!! The authors are really talented. They even have the speech pterns of the characters down. I would totally love it if they came out with MSCL the movie. Some of you guys should be recruited as writers. Who knows?? Maybe I'll write something. This is an awesome website!! Thanx!
  • Now this is what I call an amazing web site. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories and especially the poems, which I printed out. MSCL was an extraordinary show, but I realize now that it could never continue now. Seeing these stories allows me to experiencewhole new version of MSCL. Thanks for such an awesome web site.
  • Hi everyone, I'm part of those who watched MSCL when it first came on t.v a couple of years ago and like all of you, I got hooked. Unfortunately, here in Canada, we don't get MTV and I've suffered a big deal when the show was cancelled. I was wondering ifsomebody could give me an address in Quebec (around Montreal) Canada where I could find a set of the videotapes of MSCL. It would be really appreciated. By the way, I love the site. The stories and poems are great, keep up with the good work!Moon
  • alex - 01/17/98 00:07:16My Email:aa30598@appstate.eduCountry: usaComments:This is my first visit to this site after reading about it in US magazine. I too fell in love w/ MSCL after watching it on tape, and was sorely disappointed that there would be no more. So, I'm excited to read more of the scripts to see what others imaginwill happen to everyone. I've only had time to read one, but I enjoyed it immensely. And I'm glad to know that others share my (and I'm only half joking when I say this) obsession with mscl. The show made my heart hurt, in that good way, with its pathosnd humor, and of course, its own dialect (which I occasionally lapse into after watching a marathon). So anyway, I'm so glad to have discovered this place and look forward to returning.
  • This whole website is great but my favorite part is the poems. They are really great, especailly the ones that are not adapted from the shows. I hope to see ltos more of them, any kind, because all of the authors sounded like incredible writeers. I likot write poetry myself but mine are not as good as some of those. Please write more and maybe I will add some myself. Thanks!-Lindsey
  • I think my sold called life was a great show.it dealed with everyday problems and situations.it also wasn't fake like the other corny teen shows supposably having to do with real teenagers lives where everything works out because that doesn't always happe.
  • than on T.V.
  • I could relate very much to the show. I am gay and in the closet and the guy on there made me feel better about myself.
  • Thanks! Thanks! Thanks for putting together this website. The worst thing ABC did was to leave millions of fans hanging. These scripts keep us from forever wondering about our favorite characters.
  • People need a program that they can relate to. My So-Called Life was the closest show that came to being a show for teens and adults to relate to. There are no programs today that give you a real good prespective on life. My So-Called Life made you feel"it wakes you up".
  • Congrats on the blurb in the February edition of US magazine (page 32). I had to come check your site out after I saw that today. Great work folks!
  • I FEEL THAT MY-SO CALLED LIFE WAS AN EXCELLENT SHOW AND SHOULD OF NEVER BEEN TAKEN OFF THE AIR. THE SHOW HAD ALOT OF TRUE AND NOT PLAYED OUT AS A HAPPY ENDING IT WAS REALLY WHAT COULD HAPPEN IN LIFE . WHO EVER TOOK THIS OFF THE AIR WAS REALLY WEIRD COULDNT THEY SEE THAT IT WAS GETTING SO MANY VIEWERS I NEVER MISSED AN EPISODE AND WHEN IT WENT OFF THE AIR I WAS SO DEPRESSED BECAUSE I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED WITH BRIAN AND ANGELA AND WHAT SHE DID ABOUT JORDAN. WELL I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD PUT IT BACKN THE AIR , IT IS THE GREATEST SHOW AND CAN ACTUALLY GIVE GOOD ADVICE TO PEOPLE. THANKS FOR READING AND I HOPE THAT IT COMES BACK ON AIR. IN THE MEAN TIME I WILL CONTINUE TO VISIT THIS AWESOME SITE AND READ THE STORIES THAT PEOPLE WROTE IN.ERIN
  • my so-called life is absolutely the best t.v. showever made. it relates perfectly to so many people's lives, and it's completely real. there is no reason whatsoever that it should have been taken off the air. if they were to ever bring the series back, it would definitely have a higher rating thanks tMTV's My So-Called Life Marathons. (Which, by the way, are the highlight of my weekends.) It would get the attention it deserves for being a well made, enjoyable drama for parents as well as their children.

  • Well, my first message got entered without the text so I'll try again. MSCL was one of the best, most creative shows that network television has ever put on the air. The only thing I can say about its cancellation a couple of years ago is that Ted Harbet is no longer calling the shots at ABC TV. I guess there is some justice in the world! Now, when is there going to be a reunion show??
