Hope fades faster now
As I'm surrounded by doubt
And the light I felt
Has pretty much burnt out

In my dark world
You were once my light
You were once my sun & stars
But now you are cold, dark night

Still, love lingers here
Soft grey smoke after the flame
Being with you is playing with fire
So why am I still in the game?

Yet I'm still asking the question
Over and over each day
Do I keep hoping for light in your shadow?
Or is it time to walk away?
