(RAYANNE fixes her hair in the mirror, watches RICKIE.)
RAYANNE: So, you gonna come or what?
RICKIE: Well, of course I'll come.
RAYANNE: Thought you were maybe having second thoughts.
(RICKIE shrugs, makes a face.)
RICKIE: So, if you're not having it at your place, where then?
RAYANNE: I dunno. That's what I've been wondering. D'you think Patty would-
RICKIE: No.
RAYANNE: Nah, me neither. (Beat.) Katim-
RICKIE: No. Anyway, I can't ask him that, I'm only staying with him, it's not, you know, my home or anything. So, you know, I can't do that kind of thing.
RAYANNE: Hm. Okay... Louie's?
RICKIE: (non-committal.) Well, you could hold it at Louie's, but you're gonna have to have alcohol if you have it there. And you're not supposed to be drinking.
RAYANNE: (shrug, flippant.) So? I won't drink, everyone else will.
RICKIE: Oh, yeah? You really think you'll be able to stop yourself?
RAYANNE: (annoyed.) I do have self-control Rickie.
RICKIE: Yeah, this isn't about self-control. If-if you can't stop drinking, then self-control doesn't come into it. (Beat.) Well, you don't have to listen to me, I'm just someone who's worried about you.
(RAYANNE and RICKIE regard each other in the mirror. Beat.)
RAYANNE: I'll have it at Louie's, and I won't drink, and everything will be fine.
(RAYANNE kisses RICKIE on the cheek, exits. RICKIE sighs, then follows her.)
