(Delia and Brian reluctantly go down the stairs into the boiler room)
Brian:So..uh.
Delia:sooo..
(they both talk at the same time)
Brian:I hope the french review you're missing isnt too important-
Delia:SO,Brian,does this mean we're going out?
(they both laugh at talking in unison)
Brian:(realizing what Delia had asked him,and purposely changes the subject)So,the french review wasnt that important was it?
Delia:(hesitating)Well,sort of.I mean,I'll survive.(she grins)Anyway,I'd much rather be here anyway.
Brian:(doesnt know what to say)Um,yeah,me too.This is ...fun.
Delia:(frowns)Brian,why do you look like you're on the way to your execution?
Brian:What?Oh,I guess I'm just sort of tired
Delia:(sighs and smiles)Brian,I think I know whats wrong with you.
Brian:(looks paranoid)You do?(visions of Angela run through his head)
Delia:(giggles)You're nervous,Brian.To be around me.Im nervous to be around you too.Because,you know,I like you so much.Im afraid I'll say something stupid.
Brian:Um,yeah me too.We shouldnt be though.I mean,its just...us.
Delia:(nodding)Yeah...Brian,I already like you a lot.You dont have to try to impress mejust the way you .I like you are.Its not like you saying something "wrong"is gonna change that.(she looks at him expectantly)
Brian:Yeah,I like you just the way you are too.I guess we're just going through that awkward stage.You know..that couples go through,or whatever.
Delia:(raising her eyebrows and smiling)We're a couple?
BrianVO:Oh shoot.Didnt mean to say that
Brian:Yeah,I guess.I mean,...if you want to be
Delia:Of course I want to be your girlfriend Brian!
Brian:Ok...good then.

Delia(laughs)Brian,this is so cute.We're a couple now.My parents are gonna love you!
BrianVO:Parents?
Brian:Parents?
Delia:(shrugs)yeah.I mean,if we're gonna have a relationship,you might as well meet my parents.I mean,you're probably gonna be spending a lot of time at my house,so we might as well get it out of the way.Dont worry,though.They wont wanna,like,lecture you or anything.I know they'll adore you.Almost as much as i do.
Brian:ok
Delia:(looking at her watch)We've wasted a lot of time talking.The period is half over.So,do you wanna like,make out?
Brian:uh,yeah sure.
( they kiss...and kiss..and kiss a little more)
BrianVO:I like her.I mean,I like her.Im not using her,or anything...
Delia:(pulling away slightly)Im so glad to be going out with you,Brian
Brian:me too,....Angela
BrianVO:Oh my god.Please,tell me I didnt just say that
