BRIAN flickers his eyes over JORDAN. He doesn't want to get into anything with him.
BRIAN: Hey.
BRIAN keeps walking. JORDAN rolls his eyes and looks after BRIAN.
JORDAN: Wait!
BRIAN hesitates, then turns.
BRIAN: Yeah?
JORDAN walks a bit nearer. BRIAN's a bit afraid.
JORDAN: Listen, uh... about the tutoring thing, and all? (BRIAN's face floods with relief) I think we should just... forget about it. Okay?
BRIAN: Okay...
JORDAN: (shrugs) I'm just not into it anymore. So, yeah.
BRIAN: Fine.
JORDAN heads off. BRIAN leans against the lockers.
BRIAN (VO): I don't really know why I'm afraid of that guy. I mean, yeah, he could hurt me. Pretty badly, probably. But... he's never actually tried or anything. I guess... I mean, I guess I really don't matter enough to him to make him angry. So...
BRIAN stands slowly, and wanders along.
BRIAN (VO): This whole thing has gotten out of hand. Like, some really bad TV soap or something. (runs a hand through his curls) I should just... stop worrying. Too much. And find Angela, God! Be glad that for once something actually turned out okay.
BRIAN heads back towards the classroom. He spots ANGELA walking down the hall.
BRIAN: Angela!
ANGELA turns, sees BRIAN. He sees a mini eye-roll.
BRIAN (VO): That's the Angela I know.
ANGELA: There you are.
BRIAN: Listen... I'm sorry, okay. I overreacted. I mean, I mean, I still mean what I said, about either its on or it isn't, but... yeah.
ANGELA: (shakes head) You shouldn't apologize. It's like, my fault. I was wrong. To hide something... that's a wrong thing to do. And that's why I'm telling you the truth...
BRIAN's eyes widen.
