(INT.KITCHEN - CHASE HOUSE.DAY)
(GRAHAM cooks something or other. Enter ANGELA)
GRAHAM: Hi sweetheart.
ANGELA: Hey.
(GRAHAM turns to do something at the sink. ANGELA watches him carefully, considering)
GRAHAM: You hungry? Want me to make you something?
ANGELA: No, it's okay. I'm not hungry.
GRAHAM: You feeling okay?
ANGELA: Sure. (Beat.) How come you're home so early?
GRAHAM: Ugh, long story! We ordered salted capers for the resteraunt, and first of all, they arrive too late for the lunch serve, right?
ANGELA: (preoccupied) Uh-huh.
GRAHAM: And then Hallie tries one, after lunch, and it turns out they're not salted capers, they're capers in vinegar. And it turns out Hallie's allergic to something in the vinegar, and it just went downhill from there. Her throat swelled up- I had a look at her tonsils, not good. So, I had to take her to the Emergency Room, and she won't be in for a couple of days.
ANGELA: (suddenly realises) Hang on, what?
GRAHAM: Yeah, I've been ringing around, looking for someone to stand in, I don't know what I'm gonna do. (beat) And in the middle of all the confusion, Brian Krakow and Jordan turn up, out of nowhere.
ANGELA: At the resteraunt, this was at the resteraunt?
GRAHAM: Yeah, did Brian tell you?
ANGELA: Um. No. I haven't really seen him. (beat) So, is Hallie okay?
GRAHAM: Yeah, she's gonna be fine.
ANGELA: Oh my God.
GRAHAM: I know. And- and if the company had just read the order form right, we wouldn't have all these problems. (beat) Are you sure you don't want anything?
ANGELA: What is there?
(GRAHAM smiles, turns to get something for ANGELA to eat. ANGELA looks thoughtful)
