ANGELA (VO): And in a second that old familiar feeling came rushing over me. Like, I was running and trying to escape, and whenever I thought I had turned a corner, the same thing was behind it. Sex.
ANGELA: Um, it's okay. I actually, you know, came with Rayanne and Rickie, and my neighbour is babysitting my little sister, so I've got to get back.
JORDAN: Oh.
ANGELA: It's just-
JORDAN: No, it's cool. Do you want a lift? Home, I mean.
ANGELA: Uh, sure. I've just got to tell Rayanne and Rickie, coz they might wonder where I was.
JORDAN: What, you have to answer to them or something?
(Beat)
ANGELA: (annoyed) No. But they're my friends. I don't want them to worry. I try to treat my friends with some respect, you know?
ANGELA (VO): Maybe you don't.
ANGELA: Actually, I was gonna get a ride with Rickie's cousin, so... I might just do that.
JORDAN: Fine, whatever. Look, I'm gonna have a smoke, then I'm going, so if you want a ride.
ANGELA: Okay.
(INT.THE LOFT.NIGHT)
(RICKIE sits on his own, drinking a softdrink, flipping though a discarded magazine. Enter ANGELA)
ANGELA: Hey.
RICKIE: Hey, I was wondering where everyone was.
ANGELA: Is your cousin still gonna give us a lift home?
RICKIE: Well, that's the plan. I mean, I'm saying yes, but I'm asking you to remember his unreliability or whatever.
ANGELA: Okay.
RICKIE: Tino's out back, he'll probably give us a lift if my cousin doesn't make it.
ANGELA: Oh.
RICKIE: You wanna go now?
ANGELA: Yeah. Kind of. Do you mind?
RICKIE: Angela. I'm sitting here, on my own, reading a magazine. I could do that at home, and a better magazine too. (BOTH laugh). Like it's hard to drag myself away, you know?
ANGELA: (laugh) Shut up!
RICKIE: You talk to Jordan?
ANGELA: Mm. Yeah. Anyway.
RICKIE: Okay. Anyway.
ANGELA: Where's Rayanne?
RICKIE: She's out back.
ANGELA: Is she okay?
RICKIE: Yeah, she's not drinking. There's someone she knows there, so. Anyway, I'll go check if she's coming now.
ANGELA: Okay.
(Exit RICKIE. Enter JORDAN)
JORDAN: Angela. I mean. Are you coming?
