The TEACHER looks around.
TEACHER: What's wrong over there?
GIRL1: He's just like *defacing* school property.
TEACHER: Who is?
JORDAN: So what's it even to you?
GIRL1: Well, excuse *me*, but otherwise, everyone has to pay for it, and since you did it, I don't see why we should have to.
TEACHER: Mr Catalano. Back after class, we'll talk about it then. Okay everyone, get your minds back on the problems on the board...
TEACHER continues writing up algorithm problems. JORDAN blows air out between his teeth.
JORDAN: Why'd you even have to say anything?
GIRL1: Why'd you even have to cut up the desk?
TEACHER: You two, knock it off! If you can't stop talking, you'll both stay back.
GIRL1 goes back to her work. JORDAN traces his hand over the picture, remembering the dream.
JORDAN (VO): Sometimes--... I don't *know* what draws me to her. It's this feeling inside, like something is right. For once, it's right. And... you feel afraid. To need someone in that way.
PAN away across the class towards the windows.
