Chapter 13: Over A Girl!

Nick pushes Angela behind him and faces Jordan as he approaches.
Jordan:(Glaring at Nick) I can't believe you.....You knew she was my girlfriend.
Nick:(Glares back) I think she deserves better.
Angela looks from one to the other, nervous about what is happening.
Jordan: You think you can just take her from me?
Nick: You had your chance and you screwed it up.
Jordan: What?
Nick: The whole Rayanne Graff thing.
Jordan: That is none of your buisness.
Nick: Maybe, but Angela didn't deserve to get hurt.
Angela watches as Jordan punches Nick in the jaw, and Nick returns the favor. Soon both are throwing punches back and forth. She starts to approach them, but Rickie holds her back.
Rickie: Don't.
Angela: Rickie, someone is going to get hurt.
Rickie: This is not your fight.
Angela gasps as Jordan pushes Nick against a car, and starts hitting him again.
Angela: (Shouts) STOP IT YOU GUYS!
Shane and Joey arrive and see what is going on, both grab Jordan, and pull him away from Nick.
Shane: Chill man.
Joey: Yeah, calm down.
Jordan shoves them off, and glances at Angela, whipping his bloody nose. Tears are trailing down her cheeks and she looks away. He looks away too, and begins to walk off.
Shane and Joey check on Nick.
Shane: You alright?
Nick: (Whiping his nose too) Yeah.
Joey: What was all that about? (Looks at Jordan, who is getting into his car.)
Nick: A girl.
Shane: (Chuckles lightly) Your joking right.
Nick: No. (Walks over to Angela)
Angela bows her head, silently crying.
Nick: I'm sorry you had to see that.
Angela: What can I say?
Rickie: Angela?
Angela: It's ok, I have to deal with this.
Rickie nods and gives her space.
Angela: (Watches as Jordan drives off) That was uncalled for.
Nick: (Touchs her shoulder) I know.
Angela: (Whips her tears) Everything is so messed up.
Nick: (Takes her hand) Let's go, we'll talk about it alright.
Angela turns to Rickie.
Angela: (To Rickie) I call you later.
Rickie: Alright, later.
Angela: Later.
Shane and Joey watch as Nick leads her to his car and they leave.
Shane: He does have a thing for Catalano's girl.
Joey: Is she still Catalano's?
Shane: (Shrugs) What do you think?
Joey: Catalano isn't going to be coming to practice for a while, that's for sure.
Cut to Liberty Hallway -
Rayanne is leaning against the lockers and Rickie is looking through his locker.
Rickie: I mean you had to be there.
Rayanne: This is so cool, Angela have two guys fight over her.
Rickie: This is serious.
Rayanne: Oh come on Vasquez, don't tell me you didn't get a kick out of it.
Rickie: Rayanne.
Rayanne: Admit it, it gave you a rush.
Rickie: (Shakes his head) Jordan was really pissed.
Rayanne: Why wouldn't he. (Digs in her bag) I mean, one minute he's back together with Angela, the next, she's holding hands with someone else.
Rickie: Everything was alright before Nick Chandler came into the picture.
Rayanne: I think it spices up everything.
Rickie gives her a look as he closes his locker, and the pair walk off. They didn't know that Brian had been listening on their conversation. He knows now that the rumors about Angela and Nick were true, and he his chances with her have gone down. He swollows hard and sulks away.
Later That Evening -
Angela and Nick are sitting in his car, parked outside of The Loft. Linkin Park's "Breaking the Habit" can be heard on his car stero.
Angela: I can't like....believe all this happened. (Hair tuck) First Jordan sleeps with my best friend, then he has someone write a letter for him....then you.....
Nick: Yeah.
Angela: Why me?
Nick: (looks at her) What do you mean?
Angela: (Faces him) Why do like....wanna date me or something?
Nick: (Smiles faintly) I like you. (Faces her also) I liked you from the moment I met you.
Angela: (Blushs) Seriously?
Nick: (Touchs her cheek) For real.
Angela: (Smiles) I like you too.
Nick: I'm glad.
Angela: (Sighs) So your saying you want to date me?
Nick: Yeah.
Angela: What about Jordan and....?
Nick: and?
Angela: Brian.
Nick: (Chuckles) I like a girl who already has a Love Triangle.
Angela: (Pouts) Hardly.
Nick: I've only been here a few weeks, and your the only girl I have any interest in.
Angela: If only I had met you sooner.
Nick: (Hugs her) Know the feeling.
Fade out to song....
