(INT.KITCHEN - CHASE HOUSE.NIGHT)
(PATTY prepares lunches, GRAHAM helps DANIELLE with her breakfast. Enter ANGELA, happy.)
PATTY: Hi. You were a little... late, last night.
ANGELA: I was back in time for the curfew.
PATTY: Yeah. (Beat.) Was that, uh, Jordan's car, we saw driving away?
ANGELA: (rolls eyes, unseen by PATTY.) Yes. He dropped me home.
(PATTY and GRAHAM exchange a look. ANGELA gets herself some toast, sits at the table.)
GRAHAM: So, how is.. Jordan?
ANGELA: (slowly.) Um... okay. I guess.
GRAHAM: Well, good. That's good.
(ANGELA finishes her toast, grabs her lunch.)
ANGELA: See you. I'm gonna be late.
(Exit ANGELA. PATTY and GRAHAM exchange looks again. DANIELLE rolls her eyes.)
(INT.HALLWAY - LIBERTY HIGH.DAY)
(ANGELA talks to RICKIE, at her locker.)
ANGELA: Seriously Rickie, if you could have heard him...
RICKIE: Yeah, I know. So, things are great now, right?
(ANGELA considers, then smiles.)
ANGELA: Things ...are actually good. Better, than they've been in a long time. I feel... almost happy.
(ANGELA and RICKIE laugh. JORDAN approaches.)
JORDAN: Hey.
ANGELA: Hey.
RICKIE: I'll see you later.
(Exit RICKIE.)
JORDAN: Listen, Angela, there's something I wanted to ask you, you know, last night.
ANGELA: Well, what-what is it?
