(BRIAN looks like he's really had enough.)
BRIAN: D'you mind? I-I mean, we're trying to have a conversation here.
(JORDAN looks taken aback.)
JORDAN: Oh, I- sorry, I just, like... whatever.
ANGELA: Can I talk to you tomorrow?
(Beat. JORDAN considers.)
JORDAN: Sure. Fine. Whatever.
(JORDAN goes over to ANGELA. They kiss goodbye. BRIAN watches, sulky. JORDAN goes to his car, exits.)
BRIAN: I can't believe you sometimes, Chase.
ANGELA: (weary.) What?
BRIAN: You just- you just do that, in front of me, like, I'm not even here or something?
(Beat.)
ANGELA: (gently.) Brian... Jordan is my boyfriend. I'm sorry. And, I'm sorry, about it all, okay, but I- things aren't going to change, not right now. I can't help that. I should be honest with you. Even though you weren't really honest with me-
BRIAN: Well how could I be? I mean, do you have any idea how hard it was, t-to, you know, to admit to something, like that?
ANGELA: Yes, actually. Since you ask.
BRIAN: That's not the same. He was a stranger to you-
ANGELA: That's even worse.
BRIAN: Yeah, but it's nothing to him, or you, really, I mean, it is *something* to you, for a little while, but it's not really, like, the same, as if you have to admit to someone you've known, like, your entire life, and you see all the time. It's really hard.
(Beat.)
ANGELA: Well, just. Just... I don't think badly of you Brian, okay, I mean... I don't know, it's not like I'm laughing at you, with anyone, this- what you tell me, is just between us, okay, I'm not going to embarrass you or anything.
BRIAN: Angela, I think the world already, like, knows.
ANGELA: Well, all the same. I- okay, (fond laugh.) I think you're a jerk sometimes, I'm not gonna lie about it, but... you're my friend. You know? I mean, we talk. And I'd miss you, if you weren't there. So. I'm glad, in a way. You know, that you told me? I mean. I don't know. But it's just that... I don't even know what I'm saying here, but all I want to get across to you, is that this doesn't have to be hard, I mean, I'm not laughing at you, or anything.
BRIAN: Okay. Thanks. Can we stop talking about this now?
ANGELA: (smiles.) Sure.
