NEWS!AU actually told you they couldn't refund your credit card!
![]() If only there were a button somewhere that I could push. To force me to stop talking.
There's your internet fraud. The original poster should call Authroize.net and tell them AU is refusing to give refunds. Let's see how long AU stays in business without a merchant account. email me at jasonr@mscl.com and I will give you a contact at authorize.net.
Re: explantation.Geeez.
![]() I didn't see anything about these posts by Jason which needed any more specificity. When i read your posts and consider this fiasco of a business deal, it's like looking at the wreckage of a plane crash strewn over a wide field and barely even smouldering any more, and you seem to be strolling around looking under every scrap of metal as if expecting a survivor to be under there. I think it's time we give it up and leave it to the authorities.

Re: explantation. Some people will go to great lengths to defend people in indefensible positions out of a misguided sense of fair play. Nothing further needs to be said really. Talking to AU isn't worth the air time. The credit card companies will have a better time dealing with them. I'm sure when authorize.net starts getting hit with thousands of dollars of chargebacks AU's merchant account will be reviewed quickly.
I, too have gotten a lot of those wonderful reassurances. Been a member since sometime BR (before Ross)
I would do exactly that if they didn't still owe me more money. I've recieved my $115 over-charge refund; now I'm waiting on the $99.98 refund. The second I get that, I'm cancelling my credit card, cutting in half, burning it, and undergoing a process that will erase all knowledge of AU from my memory. They can't be trusted with my credit card number even 9 months after I gave it to them. - Jim
Kaytee Bodle: Girl With Guitar http://girlwithguitar.0catch.com (audio, video, tabs, lyrics, etc.) Wouldn't just asking for a new card be effective? Say the magnetic strip wore out, and you need them to send a new one. If you get a new one, the expiration date should change, and that would cause them not to be able to charge the card. Thats how my debit card works anyways, I'm not sure how it would work with credit cards.
i want my jason vs. rojek deluxe action figure set!!!cute. can we have an official document to that effect, "cate?" perhaps certified for authenticity?

"Sometimes things happen between people that you don't really expect. And sometimes the things that are important are the ones that seem the weirdest or the most wrong, and those are the ones that change your life."
Jessie, "Once and Again" I don't mean to offend anyone here, but I have a question that's been on my mind for a while. For the people who ordered with their credit card, and were double/triple charged . . . why did you pay it? Why didn't you take it up with the credit card company and AU while it was happening? Was there no other choice but to pay? I've been trying to think of answers, like maybe people didn't notice a charge from AU on their statement, but I don't think that many people could've misread one piece of paper. I'm just having a problem understanding this. Maybe it's really obvious and I'm missing the main point . . . anyway, that's my question.
That's actually a very good question. ![]() But I'm kind of going through this with my mom for the first time, and I don't really know exactly what I'm talking about. ![]() And on a completely unrelated note, what does ![]() so says Sparx.
I was billed this month for the DVD . . . on the same day Amazon offered the set. So I cancelled the order with the credit card company when I got the statement, and I didn't have to pay. It is currently "under investigation," meaning they're taking care of it . . . I feel better about what the cc company tells me than the response I got from 4 emails and 2 phonecalls to AU cancelling. I was just lucky, I waited for a release date, and skipped the pre-order. I am so grateful that I didn't pre-order with AU. The best part is, AU doesn't have my money to begin with because I caught it in time. That's what confused me. I didn't understand why people gave AU the extra money in the first place. But I suppose it's a different situation, since I wanted to cancel mine to begin with, and wasn't reporting a double charge.
