based on stories and characters created by Winnie Holzman

While I'm far away, loving you.
You're close to me, kissing her.
When you're the first thing I think of,
you're trying to push me to the back of your mind.
As I think of your like,
happiness overcomes me.
As you think of my love,
guilt surrounds you.
I wonder "What is he doing?"
You think "What have I done?"
I ponder over excuses to see your smile and hear your voice.
You ponder over excuses to explain yourself.
I'm naive.
You're omniscient.
I can't wait to see you again.
You're dreading the moment.
I'm hopeful.
You're regretful.
I insist and demand.
You plead and beg.
I cry.
So do you.
The only difference is,
I haven't stopped yet.
