(ANGELA sits there, miserable. JORDAN runs a hand through his hair, impatient.)
JORDAN: Well, maybe we argue all the time, 'cause you can never let anything go. I mean, everything is such a big deal to you, y'know?
Wrong thing to say. ANGELA stops. Not miserable any more. More... angry. Hurt. But this time, not about to let her dignity be trampled into the ground.
ANGELA: (quiet, angry) Well, *excuse* me. (Beat) Okay. Well, let me *not* make a big deal out of this: it's over between us. (cold smile) Goodbye.
(ANGELA gets out of the car. JORDAN looks at her, stunned that she did it, stunned that somehow things went so badly. He watches the figure of ANGELA walking away, then...
