JORDAN fidgets. ANGELA sits still. An awkward silence hangs over them.
JORDAN: Listen, Angela... I didn't mean, to like... offend you, or whatever.
ANGELA: It's okay, you.. didn't *offend* me, it's just...
JORDAN: Yeah. And.. I'm, like, maybe I didn't actually say this or whatever. But, I didn't mean, to do that, with... you know. Like, it wasn't intentional or anything, and... yeah. I'm sorry, to you, that I did it.
Beat. ANGELA looks up at him, embarrassed, but smiles.
ANGELA: (nods) Okay...
JORDAN: Okay...
Beat.
JORDAN: Look, maybe we should... later, or something. 'Cause, maybe we just both need... I dunno, time apart or whatever.
ANGELA: Yeah.
JORDAN: Okay, I'll see you later.
JORDAN looks like he wants to kiss her goodbye, but decides not to, heads off up the stairs. ANGELA stares after his departing figure, hears the door bang after him.
ANGELA (VO): Sometimes... I wish I could just give my life to the dry-cleaner. And, when I brought it back, it would be all clean, and smooth and fluffy again. But you can't.
ANGELA hears the door creak, she looks up, and sees:
