Angela started down the steps, but stopped when she heard Rayanne calling her name. "Angela! Hey, Angelface!"

"Hey, Rayanne," she said, in surprise. "So, we're speaking now?"

Rayanne glanced at her. "Look, Angie, I'm sorry about the whole Jordan thing. Don't be mad at me."

Angela brushed her hair from her eyes. "I guess...I guess we're okay, right?" she asked. "Right?"

Rayanne nodded. "Sure, Ang! Why wouldn't we be? Hey, would ya look at that?" she asked, pointing to Rickie and Corey Corey was painting Rickie's sneakers. "Ha! Am I not the best friend in the world?" she asked.

Angela grinned at her. "Yeah, you are."

Rayanne slung her arm around her friend's shoulder. "So, you wanna wait around for Ricky or do you wanna go raid your refrigerator?"

Angela laughed. "Hello! Aren't I supposed to like, invite you to my house?" Rayanne shrugged. "I'm not into the whole rules thing. C'mon, let's go."

Angela nodded. "Okay."
