JORDAN: Why do you want me to take you home?

ANGELA: 'Cause...

JORDAN: Well... I can't. (ANGELA looks surprised) It's true! I can't skip out on any more classes this term. I got this letter yesterday, said that if my attendance record was poor or whatever, I might not graduate again. (bitter laugh) I am *not* repeating this stupid grade again! So, I can't take you home... what's wrong, are you sick?

(But ANGELA is no longer thinking about going home.)

ANGELA: Who sent the letter?

JORDAN: (shrug) Foster or someone, I dunno. Like, not him personally. It was just one of those, y'know, like, *automatic* letters...

ANGELA: But what about your grades? Isn't Brian-- I mean, aren't your grades improving?

JORDAN: Yeah. Kind of. But... I mean, we didn't have any exams yet, since I started tutoring... and I missed a lot of the exams last time (rubs his forehead, sighs) and anyway, attendance is like 30 of the grade or something. I dunno...

ANGELA (VO): And this is the same person who said they don't care if they get kicked out of school?

ANGELA: But is Brian actually helping, or not? I mean, I can help you, or we can ask Katimski if he'll change you...
