(the next morning, at Angela's locker)
Brian: Hey, can we like, talk?
Angela: Yeah, sure, but can it be like quick? I've got rehearsal for "Romeo and Juliet" soon.
Brian: Sure. Ok, the thing is..well...
Angela: Brian, could you like, talk?
Brian: Yeah. It's about that letter. I think the whole thing got like, blown out of proportion. Cause, like, Jordan really wanted me to write it for him, but the like, sentiments were mine.
(Angela looks confused)
Brian: The thing is...I've had this like, crush on you since I was seven. And, well, I know you're with Jordan now, but I thought you should know anyway.
Angela: How am I supposed to react to this, Brian?
Brian: (defensively) I don't know...why are you asking me?
Angela: Look, I gotta go...
Brian: Well, can we talk later?
Angela: Jordan kinda asked me to go get a coffee with him after rehearsal...
Brian: (hurt) Fine, whatever.
Angela: (as Brian turns to go) But, maybe I could come over this evening...cause you're right, we should talk about this more.
Brian: Sure, I guess...
Angela: (shutting her locker door) Ok, well, see ya then.
Brian: Um, ok.
(Angela leaves, with Brian staring at her back)
