Update for Lunchbox

Post by Robert » Oct 17th 2002, 7:11 pm

We are still in the process with working with Ross regarding payment.
As of today we have established terms and will return production when the order is paid in full. According to the terms the order should be paid in full by tomorrow. I will post again at 3:00pm pst and let you know what happens.

Thanks for the update Robert....by chance could you estimate when we might expect to see the lunchboxes if the payment terms are actually met?

As of now Leslie I can't or wont speculate until the order is actually paid for. I can and will give you a good estimate when that is done.

Make the Wayne's World imagination noises: doodle doot doodle doot...

Robert: Uh, gee Ross, your new informercial sounds great, but let's get back to the matter of your payment to GWhiz.

Ross: Right. I understand that we do owe a balance on our account. We would like to get these lunchboxes done ASAP since we owe our customers at least that much.

Robert: Great! Have your bank wire the money to our account and we'll get started as soon as we can.

Ross: Actually, I have a propostion for you. I am prepared to pay you in CASH.

Robert: Really?

Ross: I have a one dollar bill that I personally left in my pants pockets the last time I did laundry so it's clean AND clean-smelling. I am prepared to put this in an envelope and send it to you via the Silk Route.

Robert: Ummmm, we need a little more than that to put the lunchboxes in production Ross.

Ross: You drive a hard bargain, Robert. From one businessman to another, I respect that. I'm willing to throw in a fiver.

Robert: That's not really what I had in mind.

Ross: You will get another dollar EVERY week Robert. How can you pass up an opportunity like that? A steady stream of revenue, guaranteed!

Robert: At this point, my company would prefer a lump payment Ross.

Ross: Robert, you're not listening to me. This IS a lump payment. As a matter of fact, it's more than a lump payment - it's MULTIPLE lump payments which is even better.

Robert: Listen, Ross...

Ross: I am listening, Robert. I am trying to help your company grow in a way that is mutually beneficial to my company and my customers. This is a great partnership!

Robert: *@#^$!@

Does anyone plan to "uncancel" if the lunchbox payments come through? I don't regret cancelling but now I am going to be real sad if I miss out on the lunchbox. [ 5 * (     X 1,000,000 ) ]^1,000

pgh_kenny:

I will also be sad to miss out on the lunchbox/bonus disk (if they come through). But at this point I am just adamantly against supporting a company that has treated so many people so badly.

RyeBlume: You're right. The lunchboxes were more exciting when I thought it would come as a package in JUNE... not dvd's sometime in november; lunchbox sometime in 2003. Thanks for making me feel better.

Hmm, what could Robert buy with a few grand worth of AU gift certificates?

I am pretty disappointed that after all this time I am forced to cancel my order, but I just can't support this fiasco any longer. I am not willing to pay in excess of $60CAN for a couple of trinkets that have been severely devalued by the change in their status. These were originally to be limited to the earliest preorders, and if AU's strategy change goes through, their exclusiveness is gone. I'm sure (if they ever ship) that I'll be able to find one if I really need it, but at this point, all it would be is a sad reminder of a project gone horribly wrong.

Sorry for asking a stupid question as I'm not familar with the time in US: Does 3:00pm PST equal to the 3:00pm in US Eastern Coast? Or what does PST stand for?

I could care less about the lunch box. The bonus disc was the only reason I kept my order for so long (I've since cancelled it), but since I'm convinced that either A) the bonus discs will never be made or B) all the material that Ross claimed to be on it is a lie except for the interviews that Dan did with the creators. That means no MTV footage and no Musueum of TV interview. Notice that Ross conveniently had secured the rights to those after we suggested them on the forum.

Anyway, if the bonus disc does - by some freak of nature - actually come to be, I'm sure the one person who hasn't cancelled their order will share the material 2 years from now when the disc is recieved.
