hmmm no i think those of us not cancelling hope lots of people will buy one after reading the article....then we might actually get ours!! not to be selfish!!
Anyways, thanks for posting the article. Hopefully after reading the AP article when it comes out, people will be smart enough to check amazon before ordering direct from au.

I fail to understand how AU will benefit from this. The current production run at BMG will go to other retailers. The bonus disc hasn't even been started yet. AU must think they can do to new customers what they did to us: charge now, ship much later (if at all). I don't think that stunt will work a second time.

Jason, what does Authorize.net think of a merchant charging in full for a product that they won't have in their possession for weeks to come?

I'm strongly tempted to create a http://anotheruinverseSUCKS.com web site to warn new customers of what they are in for.

Someone should email the AP writer and refer him to this forum so he can follow-up on his story.

That might not be such a bad idea. A disinterested unbiased third party might see this for what it is.

Hmmmm .....

Are you sure you don't want to step over to the other side? it's much more comfortable over here! actually, I totally respect you... I wish I could have held on longer. So for you, I hope that au sells enough to pay it's bills. and you're not being selfish, you're just trying to get what you paid for.

just got off the phone with CMI holdings...they say that BMG has been paid and the dvds are on their way to the warehouse and will be shipped promptly. The guy I spoke to also said that Jason has been "having trouble with BMG" and "doesn't get along with anybody" and that anything he says should be "taken with a grain of salt"

I still am trusting Jason on this but still feel in the dark as to whether or not to expect my order from AU to come through.

If anyone finds Mr. Germain's email addy, I'd be happy to refer him here (but then, as most of you are aware, I have a slightly selfish interest in hounding this company to the ends of the earth.)

Jason

Is it worth holding out until tomorrow for the deadline? I just don't know what to do, I really still want this set

I think I've figured out Ross's strategy. It's no coincidence that the press release is scheduled this week. Ross is banking on most of us cancelling our order once Jason sends his mass emailing on wednesday. Since, Ross has at least 30 days to give a refund, our cancellations won't hurt him. In fact, they may help.

So, he gets to keep our money for 30 days while raking in money from new orders. 30 days may be just enough time to get BMG to do another production run and get the bonus disc made (notice the press release doesn't mention the lunchbox). And with all the cancellations, AU will have fewer sets to order from BMG.

It's very dirty, but it may just work.

Why would you ask about holding out for the deadline if you supposedly were told that BMG has been paid and the DVDs are shipping soon?
If only there were a button somewhere that I could push. To force me to stop talking.
