People should demand the interest from their overcharges

Post by Pedro » Oct 10th 2002, 5:03 pm

As far as I am concerned (and of course there will be the usual awkward person to disagree and shoot my idea down in flames) this whole overcharge thing is a scam. Pure and simple.

After reading Jasons post in the 'Answering Questions' thread I am more than sure this is just a way for Anotheruniverse.com to make money from our interest. Therefore, anyone who has been overcharged should DEMAND the interest as well as the credit they are already owed.

This whole thing makes me feel a little bit sick :x :(

I'm not sure I understand the connection between Ross and Clyde. Is Clyde affiliated with AU in some way? (Sorry if that question is way off target. I blame it on the paranoid part of my brain that absorbed to much x-files.)

so i'm confused, i read the other thread. i assume that clyde was also someone who posted on the board regularly and that the ip addresses in the logs resolved to the same desktop computer in both cases. it doesn't make sense that clyde is ross unless ross is truely insane, so i dunno what it all means. too bad you won't post the ip addy

File a credit card claim

Post by Sameritech » Oct 10th 2002, 8:05 pm

I filed a claim with my credit card company for the overcharges and did the same thing for my canceled order. When the credit card company refunds the charges, they refund any applicable interest as well.

Also, contrary to what others have said, there is no time limit to file a claim for a full refund on your card for charges, overcharges, or interest. As long as the merchandise hasn't been received, you get all the cash back even if it has been 7+ months. This is because it was a pre-order that was not fulfilled vs merchandise you have had for months.

Clyde was an employee of Another Universe. He was posting from inside their office.

Well then AU obviously is not concerned about it. I guess they must not think it's a problem for their employees to make their company look bad.

Wait a minute - they are looking for apathetic employees? Hire me!

Bob Slydell: If you would, would you walk us through a typical day, for you?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah.
Bob Slydell: Great.
Peter Gibbons: Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door--that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh--after that I sorta space out for an hour.
Bob Porter: Da-uh? Space out?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bob Slydell: I'd like to move us right to Peter Gibbons. We had a chance to meet this young man, and boy that's just a straight shooter with upper management written all over him.
