Gord?

Post by hollis27 » Oct 7th 2002, 1:51 am

Hey,
You know that Gord Lacey guy? Who is he again? (I can't find any threads where he posted)...
Just wondering because I was reading an article that said he's from Edmonton AB, and that's where I'm from.

Didn't they make you read the book "Robinson Crusoe" in school? Crusoe was stranded on a desert island, and he saves this guy's life and the guy becomes his friend/servant. Guy's name was "Friday". I won't get into details; read the book. It's a classic.

In 1940 there was a Cary Grant film that took the concept of the "friend/servant" and put it in the role of a female assistant to Grant's character. That film was...

And there you have it! :D

I'm Gord's bitch. ;) Nah, man...I just do reviews for TVShowsOnDVD, and help enter stuff in the database. I try to point him toward info about stuff that should be on there. Every once in a while, I write a news item.

You can tell which stuff's mine...it's the REALLY VERBOSE stuff! :)

Ahhh, well thanks for the recommendation, I need a new book. I'm still in highschool btw, they make us read To Kill A Mocking Bird, (the MOST boring book ever, imo), Lord of the Flies (The Second most boring), and 1984, which was right bloody excellent. Second best book I've read, after Catcher In The Rye. Gotta love Holden.
