I JUST WANT TO THANK ANOTHERUNIVERSE FOR DOING A GREAT JOBRe: yeah and jason is connected with this deal[/quote] Actually, now I know I've seen Ross Rojek say at least twice that when all is said and done, AU will either break even or lose money on this. Obviously, that wasn't what they expected when this project first got underway, but that's how things have turned out for them, and can they really blame anyone but themselves for that?
Sorry, that was me. I wouldn't want anyone to think that I was one of those anonymous guests trying to cause trouble.

Kaytee Bodle: Girl With Guitar http://girlwithguitar.0catch.com (audio, video, tabs, lyrics, etc.) Simply not true, at least not on a "project basis". However, I'll agree that nobody is retiring on this set. He is not lying that the margins have shrunk, but this is mostly due to things like dual shipping, cost for subtitles, I assume some charge back related issues affected the costs. My fees did not increase.
Niche marketing DVDs to groups as small as 3,500 can be very profitable. I can't speak to the effects that problems such as double charges had on payroll or loss of business, but those items are not being considered (by me) to determine whether the project was profitable. What I am saying is that people should not be discouraged from doing other DVDs. The money is there. Just make sure the machine is well-oiled.
Pink who?Wheres Pink? Pink floyd, Pink Panther, Pinky winky. lol
The issue is that we have had multiple people on regular payroll working on this for months more than was planned at the beginning. The amount of people cost, additional costs during design, licensing and production have grown.
But that's our problem. And we'll get through it. And we've learned (no, don't laugh too much, we've actually learned stuff through this whole process) that we'll be able to avoid next time we do something like this. Who is onlineUsers browsing this forum: No registered users and 11 guests |
