English dude needing MSCL Boxset!

Post by Bosewave » Sep 25th 2002, 2:21 pm

Hi there!
Im a guy from England and managed to see some of the show a long time ago when it aired over here. Hearing that theres a DVD BOXSET release is absoloutly amasing. I just need a question answering if any of you guys know or could help out...
Will this boxset be exclusivly sold through AnotherUniverse.com or will it hit the US shops?
Also when is the release date of the boxset?
Thanks to anyone who replies,
Mark

The DVD's are being sold exclusively through Anotheruniverse.com and will not be available through US stores. The way this thing is being produced is on a supply and demand basis, and so it will not be in print for ever.

It may become licensed through other stores in the future, and could also (and probably will) pop up in EBAY at some point, but for now you can only get it through AU.

Double-check these facts with Jason though.

I have already seen several ebay auctions for the DVD set.

Hiya!

Glad you found the forum.

If you really want this series on DVD then, in my opinion, the best thing is to order from AU. Yes, things haven't gone as smoothly as we'd hoped but this is ground-breaking territory here, and the mistakes ARE being sorted out. In the end we'll have MSCL on DVD!!! How cool will that be??

I checked ebay the other day and there had been 9 bids on the (US) VHS boxset. The price had already reached £66 and the auction was still going strong!! I really felt like contacting those bidders and telling them about the DVD. They obviously don't know about this, which I think is strange for people who are prepared to pay a chunk of money for a series they love on an ageing format. Can you imagine how much the DVD boxset will go for?? I tell you something, my copy is priceless.

There were several auctions for the DVD set on ebay as well. One of the bids was at $125, which I only remember because I like that number. (don't ask - it's the OCD)

Ebay

Post by George » Sep 27th 2002, 10:13 am

I got a set on Ebay yesterday for the same price AU is charging, but this way I do not have to deal with AU. http://www.dwaynesworldonline.com is selling them as well. It is more expensive but it might save someone a headache! Just wanted to pass that info on, I already got mine so this is in no way an endorsement for that site, I certainly don't work there or anything. I just wanted to let everyone know so they have options.

And I'm pretty sure you won't get them until after everyone who ordered through AU gets theirs.

So I hope you're up to having a longer wait than if you had just ordered from AU.

I can wait just fine, that is no problem. At least way this only cost me a one time charge and I don't have to deal with the hassle and headaches from AU.
