What's The Damage?

Post by Nostradamus » Sep 24th 2002, 8:53 am

Credit to pgh_kenny for giving me the idea for this poll; it complements his about the time taken to correct overcharges. Like kenny said, please be truthful and remember this isn't scientific. Thanks.

P.S. I was only overcharged a measly twenty bucks, so I probably haven't been as stressed over this as some of you.

P.P.S. I'm still pissed, though.

I haven't been overcharged at all. I called Another Universe last night to change my e-mail address and to check on my order, and Wade told me that I am in "Needs shipment" status. He was extremely nice, and I only had to call four times before I got through.

We used our American Express card, so I knew that if we got overcharged, AE would take care of us. They are good like that.

Just curious Megs, when did you place your order? Or I wonder if everyone who used american express was spared overcharge mess.

Also, thanks to Nostradamus for the sister poll.

I pre-ordered in February or March.

I have to add to my answer that, while I've been overcharged $194.98, my complaint has been heard and, silly me, I expect to be credited soon.

Now, the problem is that this topic is just going to get old and fall down the list of posts, and never be seen again... :?

Anyhow, good luck to everyone with their orders.
so says Sparx.

Whoops, I screwed up. I voted for the "$20.01-$70.00" setting. I *should* have voted for the "$20.01-$70.00 was refunded" setting. If anyone can move my vote, that would be terrif. Thanks,

So far i've been charged 230 dollars extra (2 extra billings), and have received 115 back.

Hopefully another 115 will come my way soon... <sigh>

Holy Hand Grenade! :o  :!:

I take a break from the internet for one day and now there's 90 jillion gazillion new posts! At this rate I'm going to have to retread my scrollwheel!

David: I have many powers in realms both seen and unseen, and entire nations tremble at the mention of my name, but I cant seem to move your vote. Maybe a moderator or site admin. can do something about that.

At least a majority of respondents indicate no overcharge or a successful refund. Still a lot of problems, though :?

I didn't get overcharged, because I paid by check. However, I did not get anything about paying the balance (after paying the $20 pre-order fee). After trying various emails and posting to the form and getting no results, I finally called 9/10 (thinking they wouldn't send my DVDs the next week without it- silly me, they didn't send them anyway!) and was told my order number, the amount to pay, and the address to send it to. So I'm finally all paid up.
Brian, we're not talking about wallpaper here, are we.
