Question/suggestion for AU.

I have received a lot of emails asking how soon after Sept 17 the discs will arrive at the customers' doorsteps.

Simple math demonstrates that it would take 2.5 days to ship out 3600 units, assuming that one was processed every minute around the clock for 2.5 days straight.

Since the measurements of the final package are or should be known, can the boxes be readied, and mailing addresses affixed beforehand? It seems like there are a few days to get a headstart on doing this.

I would claim credit for this idea, but a customer emailed it to me.

Have you actually emailed that suggestion to Ross at AU? He could benefit
from that sort of idea - or one similar. I sent him a message today saying that if he cant pre-address the boxes etc then he should employ alot of temporary staff to send them out. Having us wait while they send them out at their pace is unacceptable. What if they send one a day? and how will they decide which customers get their items shipped first and last?

Well if there is a way to tell who ordered first(there should be) then I will probably be one of the first bunch since I ordered on the 2nd day.

It should hopefully work like backordered items where people who ordered first will get them first and then so on.


One other question, are we going to be getting shipping confirmations through email or anything?
When I ordered through AU before I got one and I think it would be a good idea to do it now because if they don't email I know I'll be calling to see if it shipped or not.

Anyway, I hope these can all get shipped out quickly..
