Pedro - I read once that that was the reason why the show was canceled. The general public thought that the show was just too depressing. I thought it was insanely realistic. What does that say about me? :D

I'm not exactly surprised by the assessment of MSCL being too depressing. The humour of MSCL comes from a different place than almost every other TV show out there. The humour comes not from cheesy one liners, but from knowing the characters, seeing their subtle or not so subtle reactions to various situations, events and each other.
The sun's outside the window trying to show us we're all being stupid. All you have to do is look around.
