Can AU really be trusted to stand behind their product?

Post by Guest » Sep 3rd 2002, 7:42 pm

Hello all. Like many of you, I have been double billed and have not received a refund or even an acknowlegdement from AU. IF I don't hear from them by the end of the week, I'm going to dispute ALL the charges to my card, including the initial one.

For those of you who haven't cancelled your orders yet, let me ask you: do you honestly believe that AU will send out a replacement set if yours is defective. I for one believe they won't, and I no longer believe that this is a simple mistake. I suspect that there were cost overruns and AU decided to 'borrow' money from us to cover it.

I cannot answer for the cause of their problems, but I can tell you that there were no cost overruns that I know of. Defectives would be passed back to the manufacturer, so I don't see why you would not be able to get a replacement.
