Let BMG know if you got the AU SCREW!!!Let BMG know if you got the AU SCREW!!!It is all fine and dandy that we are all writing to the BBB to shut down the s**t hole that is AU, but I recommend a different angle. Don't lie and don't make up anything. Just tell BMG the truth about your order. The contact email for BMG is larry.karpen@bmg.com. Tell them that AU is ruining BMG's reputation with the way it is treating us.
well, there's one concern I want bring up in regard to contacting BMG...is it still possible that if they heard that this project was having so much toruble on the customer service end that they could still pull the plug? or is it too late for that to happen? if not, I guess it isn't a big deal...but I would hate to be the one who triggered a chain of events which prevented the set from ever becoming available. and I say this as one who's still waiting to have a 79.98 charge removed from my credit card. I know how much stress these charges have caused for a whole slew of people, believe me. but I think I speak for most of the people who ordered this set in saying that I wouldn't want to sacrifice this set ever being released to fans just to ensure that I got my refund a little quicker. that is just about the absolute worst-case scenario, outside of the planet being destroyed in a freak accident when I click "submit" on this post...and if you're reading this, then thankfully that calamity has been avoided.
You speak for me, tuataraExactly ![]() I too have been overcharged and confused by AU but at this time my primary concern is getting the DVDs. If I find I have been charged again to the point of obscenity I will certainly dispute the charges but until I have those discs secure in my hand retaliatory action against AU seems premature and potentially self-defeating. After I have my DVDs, AU can wither under a barrage of litigation or flourish as the new champion of long-lost cult TV; it matters little to me. I have only been in on this project since March and I have already invested far too much time, effort and money in it to let that lunchbox slip between my fingers now. Fortunately my analysis of the various threats to my impending enjoyment of this product is mostly encouraging: BMG is probably too big to notice if the MSCL project is giving it a bad name; the BBB is largely impotent to do anything other than post negative reports; hopefully any lawsuits or government investigations will be too slow to interfere with manufacturing and shipping; AU itself poses the greatest threat if their delivery methods are as flawed as their billing process. There's only two weeks left until D-Day, so we should know the outcome one way or the other soon enough. Here's hoping for the best! ![]() I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure.

-- Clarence Darrow I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it. -- Mark Twain Contacting BMG... good or bad?As a guy who used to work for BMG, let me tell you that there is little danger (to the DVD set) in letting them know how you feel. I know that with the need for the petition and all it may not seem like it, but they do care about their customers.
If you have waited for weeks or months without a refund of a double charge, then perhaps a call to BMG is not such a bad idea. It is certainly not going to do any more harm than the people who are calling the attorney general or BBB. If anything, you might like to see BMG exert some pressure to make sure that the discs are shipped out in a timely manner. I think that AnotherUniverse.com needs to tell us all something today: 1) What are they doing to refund the double charges. but more importantly, 2) What are they doing to prevent double charges in the future. I became very upset yesterday when I realized that they have been advertising for the set on Google, while they still have not fixed the cause of double charges. When I used to handle the complaint emails by hand, I never knew how many problems there were. With Gord's customer service site, I can see the double charges racking up, and the number of problems is obscene. I don't mean to sound like I am egging on the panicking, but this project is very closely associated with me, and I take it seriously. I apologize for not being able to answer all of the emails written to me, and having to use automation, but the large number of problems simply means that I do not have the time to do it while simultaneously focusing on collecting the money owed to me and my company. I don't mean to embarass AU with this post, but I think that they are in very grave danger if they cannot stop this from happening to their customers, and I mean to get them to address this publicly because if you had to read my inbox for a day, you'd want to jump out of a window like I do. I speak specifically of people whose orders they told me they fixed only to find out weeks later that the problems remained. This made me look bad, or like I did not pass along a message for a customer. Jason Rosenfeld
