Time to up the ante

Post by sameritech » Sep 2nd 2002, 12:21 pm

David and Brian, I agree with your recommendation for all people wrongly charged, to file a complaint with the BBB. I was the person who originally suggested people do that about a month ago. The BBB will and has given AU an unsatisfactory rating but it's not as effective as we may think since most people don't check with the BBB before making a purchase. Maybe that's why AU has failed to even respond to them. So now I recommend upping the ante and hold those responsible to a higher authority. AU can ignore the BBB but they'll face a much harsher sentence than the BBB will ever impose if they choose to ignore the agencies below.

State of California Department of Consumer Affairs

State of California, Department of Justice
Office of the Attorney General

Five weeks and STILL waiting for my refund.

Sameritech, you are correct. I will file complaints there as well. Thanks for the links!
