I cannot believe How seriously people are taking this. This is a post!!! The drama, the excitment, the outrage.........wait a minute, this isnt Passions!!! But with all the intrigue on here I must say who needs it....I laugh at some of these posts...the person that responded in this post about how much money she makes, like she needs to justify herself to me!!! I mean who am I, just another faceless typer on a thread!!!! And to the person that said this was a nice thread to start off with, your right it was, so lets lighten it up and see if anyone else out there in so-called cyberland has had a good experience with the DVD purchase. If you have something negative to say, theres a thread titled whine, whine, whine, post it there!!!! And If I offended anyone, I am sorry. But Like I said this is a posting thread, dont get mad at me for having had a nice experience....back to the matter at hand....back to the positive.....Sunny days, sweeping the clouds away, on my way to where the air..........................................

Its really just someone bashing AU

Rumor is that it is a penny stock. stock SYMBOL CMIH you can actually buy alot of shares, because the price is so cheap. You will probably become a millionaire if the stock goes up.

thus you have people bashing the company trying to destroy this company, its a competitor. always is.

penny stocks are inherently very risky. they can go up and make you millions, or you can lose a ton. non-penny stocks are risky enough for me, especially in this economic climate.

I just wanted to say that even though I was double charged and spent a month getting it cleared up, and dealing with the fees from my credit card company because AU sent me over my limit, I still am fond of Another Universe and would recommend them to anyone. I have ordered from them in the past and havent had any problems, so I figure this is an isolated incidence. When I had to call AU everybody I spoke with were friendly and helpful.

AU did all of us a big favor by undertaking this set for us and the saddest part for me is that after all of the complaing and problems I fear that AU, or any other company, will not be undertaking this task for any other shows that arent as popular as Friends.

So I just wanted to say Thank You to Another Universe, to BMG, to Jason and everybody else at this site for getting everything done. Nothing good comes without a price and I figure these mistakes and complications are a small price to pay to have a DVD set of a TV show that would otherwise never see the light of day. Put things in perspective, would you rather not have the set at all then deal with these problems?

I have had a good experience with AU so far as well. I pre-ordered the set I think the 2nd day it was announced that they would be taking pre-orders.
At the same time as pre-ordering the MSCL box set, I also purchased something for my brother in the same order.

I recieved the thing for my brother within a week from ordering, maybe it was even sooner.

I haven't had any double charges or any other problems with the rest of my order(the MSCL part) either.
It has been paid for since March. I also called AU yesterday to make sure it's all set to go when they start shipping come September and it is in fact all set.
Now all I have to do is wait for the shipping date to come and wait a few more days. Can't wait!

First of all, I loved My so-called Life and that is why I was very excited about the final release of the full season of the show on DVD.

I was totally astounded at all the effort everyone involved with the DVD had put into making the complete box set a reality. I was completely happy until July - when soon after I purchased my MSCL T-shirt I was charged $115 for - I don't even know what. I called AU, emailed Jason and tried to get the situation resolved quickly and without any stress.

Jason was very helpful, but he couldn't actually fix the problem, that was up to AU or "thecomicstore.com." He recommended that I wait for AU to credit me back my money and only report it to my credit company if I was "that pissed off." I held off reporting it to the CC, but when AU wouldn't answer their phone, call me back, or email me back, I finally reported the unauthorized use of my card. They actually had receptive and responsive customer service.

When the customer service page went up (http://www.drygrass.com/mscl/ ) - which I was very pleased to find someone took the initiative to handle, I posted my problem and expected the problem to be fixed within the month.

Instead, I was charged another $79.98!!! That totals $194.98 - almost $200!!!!!!!!! On top of the $99.98 I already actually paid for my DVD box set back around March. AU had in total taken around $300 from me for only one DVD box set actually ordered by ME.

I posted again at the customer service page last week my complete story and have yet to be contacted, or even notified that my complaint is being acknowledged. :?

My CC finally gave me the money back TODAY under "provisional credit" as they investigate the activity. It took almost 2 months to get any of the money back which I feel had been stolen from me by AU. The first time I would have called it an accident, but the SECOND! I just reached my limit of being f*cked with by an online company.

I am very excited about finally receiving my DVD Box set next month. I hope they do arrive, and that no more postponing with occur, because it makes me wonder who’s coning whom.

AU is not a bad company - I am not bashing them, but I do believe that they have done a piss poor job of handling my particular situation.

* To kriddyboo, :) *

I would defiantly agree with you - when you pay for something 5 months ago, you don't exactly expect for that company would unexpectedly charge you more unauthorized charges.

We are not poor people, but no one should have to be able to afford twice, or even three times what they expected to pay for one particular good. If we did, then we should all budget for our coffees to cost over $10, and our gas to cost $5 a gallon. Seriously, the idea is ridiculous.

Sincerely, TrippinShiva
