Jason: Are you making money on the sale of the DVD ???

Post by MartinPierre » Jul 29th 2002, 12:05 pm

Hi Jason !

I have a big question : Will you make money off the sale of the DVD ?

If you do make money, great for you !

Otherwise, post a "paypal-enabled" e-mail address and I will send you some right away...

You have been a critical part of the future of MSCL : Imagine if you would have had an accident while reading your e-mails behing the wheel !

Without you, there would have been NO DVD set, period.

And plus, you have to deal with all the whinning !

BTW : I am serious... you should allow people to donate you a little money for your effort !

Sounds like a cool idea to me too - especially as Jason's getting married (Congrats BTW!!! :D )...
perhaps a donation for a lovely wedding pressie from all us Lifers would be in order....

anyone else have some thoughts on the subject? Any way we can thank Jason for his efforts?? I can offer acommodation in reasonably central London if you're ever over here Jason :) Plus a beer or 2 in some cool places...

Yes, I am supposed to get paid for this project. I have been working on it pretty much as a full time thing since February. Thanks for the offer of paypaling money to me. I am having a pretty big wedding in 2 weeks, so if I were like on the verge of starving, I'd just cut back on some of those expenses (or at least get a big doggie bag)

I should disclose that I have received some payment. However, after expenses (travel to LA, and I stayed in a hell of a dive and travelled in one step up from pet class, plus I had to share room with Gord Lacey of TVShowsOnDVD.com --nobody should have to suffer that, haha. Just kidding Gord), what I have received has placed me well below the poverty line. When and if I get paid in full, I should be in good shape.

I'm hoping paypal won't be necessary.

Sharing rooms

Yes, it's true, Jason and I shared a room in LA AND Vegas. I know I can be a pain to be in a room with, but Jason is a real trooper and didn't complain at all. What a guy.

Nope. With all due respect, you pre-paid AU for this thing. And there is no need to spend another dollar. I expect to be paid what I am owed eventually.

And I was just teasing Gord. Although... what guy goes to Las Vegas and goes to sleep at 11 pm? I won a whole $80. I wanted to paint the town red and he was like ready for sleep. Bear in mind the time difference was two hours greater for me. :D

Jason

PS: I should add that I had a perfectly valid bachelor party excuse and we wasted it!

 Las Vegas really is like the way they say it is. The land of sin and debauchery.

Of course, it's also the land of $5.95 all-you-can eat buffets.

I did partake of the buffets, but I did not actually debauch a whole lot, unless you consider bottled imported beer to be debauching. I barely ventured out of the hotel, since the temperature made my hair dryer feel like and air conditioner.

Of course, since Gord is from Canada, I had to steal food from the buffet so he could eat. Damn that weak Canadian currency!

We did chat up this vagrant/bum guy near the Paris hotel. He told us about he shot a couple of people with a .45. He had poor oral hygene and was drinking vodka from an Aquafina bottle. Had some choice words for his ex-wife. Words that shocked my naive ears!!!

I don't care what people say about Vegas! I'll keep going there until they bring slots to Epcot!!!
