DVD pre-order question

Post by Gayle » Jul 10th 2002, 5:43 am

Hi
I pre-ordered a MSCL DVD luchbox set and paid the deposit price. Since then i've read the newsflashs about the DVD release date but i'm confused.

If i have pre-ordered do i have to re-order through anotheruniverse and is my order still valid. I haven't been asked for any money and i'm confused about how to actually pay for the set. Do i have to order again?

I know no release date has been confirmed - but when it does will another universe get in contact and ask for my money or should i have already paid?

Please can somebody clarify the situation on what i do after pre-order?

Just the deposit too

A-ha! Someone like me.

Most people who 'air their views' about AU have had the opposite experience to me and that's why I've been reluctant to talk about this, but, I can't get AU to take my money!! Honest. It took four months for them to take my deposit and I'm still waiting for them to take the rest. I'm like, LET ME PAY FOR MY DVD!

I've kept Jason informed on this and I'm sure he's doing his best but it's up to the company concerned to process a card. I have called them twice from England and they seem really friendly and helpful, although I was concerned to hear that their machines are "declining" my card, when I know for a fact (Barclays said so) that my card is just fine and dandy thank you very much. And - as my $20 was finally taken, they will know so too. I'm presuming that because the rest of the money has yet to be taken that they are having the same trouble getting my card to go through. So it seems that AU have some very temperamental equiptment.

However, because I'm in complete awe of this project and desire the DVD so much, I feel a certain confidence in knowing that things will work out in the end. It's just funny that someone else is in the same boat and AU doesn't want our money!

Twice i've tried to process the charge and it hasn't accepted. I guess I'll try again or something ;/

difficulties paying remainder of balance

Post by medellia77 » Jul 18th 2002, 10:16 pm

I had the same problem where I kept getting a decline when I tried to pay for the remainder of the balance. After a few months of trying to sort things out, I finally got through to AU (I can't remember who I spoke with, but he was really nice, and incredibly swamped with phone calls to return). Anyway, long story short, we figured out that the expiration date on my credit card was inverted in their records, so that appears to have been the cause of my problem. They're trying it again, and hopefully everything will work out. Despite the minor setbacks, I am very pleased with the progress, and promised the guy at AU that I wouldn't get mad at him, no matter what.

same thing happened to me. i was declined because my address didn't match up or something. i called them and gave them a different way of writing my address and that worked. i got 2 confirmation emails, however, so i was worried about getting charged twice. but i haven't gotten charged at all.

Jason is on it though, right Jason?

still have not been charged remainder of balance

Post by medellia77 » Jul 31st 2002, 11:00 pm

Even after speaking to someone at AU, and determining why my credit card was being declined, I still have not been charged the remainder of the balance. I don't really understand what the problem is now, it seems they just don't want to take my money!

For the last two weeks, my requests for charging the balance seemed to be falling on deaf ears.

However, the CEO of AU tells me otherwise. He says they are basically going through their orders by hand, line by line. There are MANY orders.

I will try to get more information about their progress.
