United front. An open letter regarding AU?

Post by zero » Nov 17th 2002, 3:59 pm

Rather than those of us who are irritated at RR/AU individualy casting around for newsgroups and message boards to spread the good word about the exemplary customer service we have received, I wonder if anyone else here would be interested in draughtiness a form letter? Stating (In as calm as fashion as possible stating just the provable facts.) the litany of disaster.

We can get as many people to "sign" it as want to, provide links to the forum and/or email addys and set it up as a web page. That way we can post the URL to as many places as possible and give people a concise rundown of why they should be wary of AU.

Count me in - I'll sign in a hearbeat.

anyone want to help write the thing or provide a few links to online articles etc?

i'm obviously not the best man for the job... "draughtiness" not being what i meant to say.

I'd love to contribute, and seeing as how I wrote 'hearbeat' instead of HEARTBEAT  I'm thinking that the best way for me to contribute is to supply details, if asked, by maybe one of the lawyerly types?? - or perhaps actual writers?? - that we have around here.

Whatever I can do, whatever I am ASKED to do, I'll do. I'm so over this whole thing, if I can't have my 100 bucks back, I at least want to see them get roasted.

I'd be happy to draft something up... I have to write to my CC company anyway, so it'd be killing two birds with one stone.

It will take me a few days as the only internet access I have is at work and I'll need to check out some facts and dates and stuff...

What I could do is post a first draft here and then ask people to comment/add as they feel appropriate and then change it around until we have something we are happy with.

The only thing is, I'm the least technically able person in the universe (trust me, even getting this forum to work for me has been problematic) so maybe once we have the text sorted out, someone could do something clever with it to make it work in the way we want??

:)

Great idea - give me a few days...

Starbug - or anyone else that wants to pitch in - i've done a first draught of an open letter (and had a few anon msgs from people suggesting good places to send it) so if you want to give it a read over e mail me.

I would like help with this before I post it here and try and whip up support for signatures.
