{Original title "A Fable"}

Once upon a time there lived a girl.
She slept in a lovely little cottage made of gingerbread and candy.
She was always asleep.
One morning she woke up, and the candy had mold on it.
Her father blew her a kiss and the house fell down.
She realized she was lost.
She found herself walking down a crowded street.
But the people were made of paper.
Like paper dolls.
She blew everyone a kiss good-bye and watched as they blew away.

Up ahead she saw a garden of white daisies.
White daisies were her favorite flowers
She jumped into the garden, laughing.
The daisies turned black and shriveled.
A gust of wind whispered to the daisies.
The wind told the ashes to run away.
The ashes got into her eyes.
She was blind.
Again, the girl was lost.
She crawled around a street that was covered with broken glass.
Her hands were bleeding.
She felt so hurt and helpless.
The girl cried and the tears washed away the ashes.
She could now see.
When she saw the blood on her hands, the girl started to cry again.
Looking up, she saw a man and a horse
Everything about the man was perfect.
He was her Prince Charming.
The reached out her bloody hand towards him.
He didn't reach back to her.
Instead he stared at her with disgust and hatred.
She turned the other way and faced the horse.
The horse took her on its back and galloped away.
The girl smiled as the wind blew through her hair.
She was beginning to feel tired and stopped the horse.
The girl fell off the horse and onto the grass.
The grass was soft and comfy like a cloud.
She was floating on the cloud.
The girl fell asleep and never woke up.
