{Original title "A Fable"}Once upon a time there lived a girl.
She slept in a lovely little cottage made of gingerbread and candy.
She was always asleep.
One morning she woke up, and the candy had mold on it.
Her father blew her a kiss and the house fell down.
She realized she was lost.
She found herself walking down a crowded street.
But the people were made of paper.
Like paper dolls.
She blew everyone a kiss good-bye and watched as they blew away.

Up ahead she saw a garden of white daisies.
White daisies were her favorite flowers
She jumped into the garden, laughing.
The daisies turned black and shriveled.
A gust of wind whispered to the daisies.
The wind told the ashes to run away.
The ashes got into her eyes.
She was blind.
Again, the girl was lost.
She crawled around a street that was covered with broken glass.
Her hands were bleeding.
She felt so hurt and helpless.
The girl cried and the tears washed away the ashes.
She could now see.
When she saw the blood on her hands, the girl started to cry again.
Looking up, she saw a man and a horse
Everything about the man was perfect.
He was her Prince Charming.
The reached out her bloody hand towards him.
He reached out to her.
She smiled as he pulled her closer to him.
The fairy tale couple went on the horse.
The horse galloped away to the castle on top of the hills.
The girl smiled as the wind blew through her hair.
The castle was covered with diamonds.
Her Prince Charming took her hand and carried her off the horse.
She stared in awe as the horse flew into the sky.
It was a magical place where nothing went wrong.
The Prince looked into her eyes.
She was hypnotized by him.
Three words left her lips, "I love you".
She regretted the words as soon as she spoke them.
The girl was worried that no one would feel that way about her.
Her Prince replied "I love you too".
All the doubts that she had were gone.
She had a funny feeling . . . a good feeling about herself.
The couple stared into each other's eyes.
The attraction drew them closer together.
They closed their eyes and kissed each other.
She felt like she was flying.
When she opened her eyes, she saw the flying horse.
The couple was flying in the sky.
She knew that the moment was perfect.
The girl realized that her life had a meaning.
"I have a meaning to belong, and now I belong to you" the girl said to her Prince.
The fairy tale couple landed on the grass.
They fell asleep in each other's arms, dreaming about their life together.
