based on stories and characters created by Winnie Holzman

Am I the one you want
Or just the one you posess
I sit at night awake unsleeping
Waiting for your caress

Closing my eyes the way you do
Too hurt to keep them awake
Living for liking you too much
Helping you for my own sake

Fighting a battle inside my head
Whether to let it go or let it stand
My head swells with your voice
You save me with your hand

Giving you my full attention
But you can't give me it
You say I'm too much like me
I think it's you whose shoe it fits

Forgive me for liking you too much
Am I really that bad, say that it ain't so
Just give me one minute of your time
And then I'll finally let you go
