(RICKIE approaches ANGELA)

RICKIE : (kisses ANGELA on cheek) Hey.

ANGELA: Hi.

RICKIE: So...you and Jordan?

ANGELA: Yeah. I mean. We're back together. Again. (laughs a little, then sobers) You were talking to Brian...

RICKIE: Yeah. Well, I mean. I was talking. He was, uh, well. You know Brian.

ANGELA: (grimaces) Unfortunately.

RICKIE: I thought you guys were friends now?

ANGELA: We are. I mean, I want us to be friends. He...just seems totally incapable of, like, being normal. Just a friend. Just...uh. I mean, whatever I try, Rickie, it's just not enough for him. I just need a break. From him. Does that sound selfish?

RICKIE: No. It doesn't sound selfish.

ANGELA: Tell me what to do Rickie!

RICKIE: Me? Angela, I'm, like the last person in the world to know what to do. I mean...

ANGELA: Please Rickie! Brian talks to you. I just feel like such a creep at the moment, and I'm not even sure that I'm in the wrong.

RICKIE: You're not wrong. (beat) Listen, okay, I think you should just... tell Brian, like, clearly or something. Directly, that- how you feel about him. And that way, if you're honest? It won't seem so confusing. Then, at least, he can't say you didn't tell him.

ANGELA: So tell him? (RICKIE nods) Right.
