Jason, a note of appreciation

Post by Scottxwl » Sep 17th 2002, 7:48 am

I just wanted to give my story. I ordered back in February or so whenever I first heard about them. Ordered 3 sets, one for me, one for my mom, and a thrid as a gift for someone (I haven't figured out who yet, but there are several contenders.)

I was never double charged.

I watched the original release date come and go, and didn't really care. I popped by and skimmed this discussion boards subject lines maybe once a week. I realized that everyone seemed to be working as hard as they could trying to get this out. It also seemed to me that there was a lot of... negative emotions on this board. Which is valid, some people have had worse experiences and different expectations than I did.

Now we are on the supposed new release day, and if they aren't released today, once again, I don't care. I mean, of course I hope they are, but this is a project I'm willing to wait for. (I kinda even wish they could wait and ship the whole product as a complete set, but I can also understand everyone's enthusiasm.)

But from my extremely limited viewings of this board I have seen you respond with patience, understanding, and style. I want to thank you and anyone else you can pass this thanks along to, for all the hard work and forebearance you have brought to this project. It is appreciated by me.

A satisfied customer

Thanks for posting this Scott!

I totally agree with what you said. Jason has put his heart and soul into this project, answered a billion questions, dealt with tons of nastiness, and he's done it all with a zen-like patience.

He should teach a class on remaining positive under stress...I covet his coping skills! (Although, he claims that beer helps....LOL!)

ADMIN EDIT:

[offensive and insulting posting deleted]

Folks, watch your language. This is still a fan forum, not a place for insultings or stupid flame baits. I will also delete other insulting or offensive postings in this and other threads without any further notice. This goes just way too far.

This is an open forum, everyone can state their opinion and ask questions about all things related to the DVD release. But we will not tolerate any personal attacks or swearing.

Hi! My story is pretty similar to Scott's. I pre-ordered back in Feb and was paid in full by April. I was nervous when I saw that second charge and didn't have the discs in hand, but Jason, you calmed my fears pretty much. While I have ordered plenty of DVD's online, I've never been in a situation where the target audience was in on the process of bringing the set to life.

I checked in here often and did feel bad for everyone having such problems with their order. I crossed my fingers that I would be spared these problems. As the days got closer to September I felt sure that I would have my set and get away without having a double charge. So I go on a 3 week vacation... Only to come back home to my August CC statement and saw where I was charged the $115 at the end of July. Too bad...so sad. I too, have joined the ranks of the double-charged.

But I don't want to worry. I am hoping it will be dealt with and I will have my set soon. I filled out the customer service form on 9-11 and I'm trying to figure out how far behind they are in responding to those forms. One person said they heard back from them on 9-11 and they filled it in the week before. Does a week sound like a good time frame to hear back from AU?? Tomorrow will be a week for me and I'm hoping for a response.

Once again, thanks to Jason for getting the ball rolling on this set. Well, you did more than get the ball rolling, but you KWIM, lol. What's next on your DVD niche projects??? I'm into the cheesiness of having twenty-somethings playing teens who are thrown into musical theatre ...so may I suggest "Fame?"
