I am sick of being jerked around by AU

Post by Ca » Sep 7th 2002, 7:36 pm

I have just read the e-mail from AU saying we will not be getting the lunchboxes nor the bonus disc on the "release date". What the hell have these people been doing all this time? I am so frustrated with the incompetence of this company. They need to stop making excuses and get their act together. They have had my full payment since March 27! I have been waiting patiently, but I am at my wits end.

It was not their job to produce the lunchbox and bonus disc.

This may actually be good news if it means more time to add stuff to the bonus disc, specifically the cast interviews that never happened.

I don't think it's AU's fault that the lunchboxes and the bonus are delayed, but I agree it is a complete piss-take. Why the hell has it taken up to the week boefore the so-called release date for them to tell us about this, and what the gell have these people been doing all this time?

This project has been underway for months, so WHY OH WHY have the lunchboxes and the bonus discs not been completed!!!

IM SO F***ING ANGRY I COULD SCREAM!

If they did not wait for Buena Vista and BMG to sign off on them, they would have been sued. If they criticised BMG or Buena Vista publicly, they could have seen permission withheld and/or sued. I knew about the problems and delays, and hinted at them here, but I, too, did not want to be sued.

I hope that is a sufficient answer. Though it sucks from a delay perspective, this set is 100% legal.

We want it to be legal. I think that once I get the DVDs, it will be well worth the wait. No complaints here.

There used to be a motto in the dotcom entertainment biz (i.e. Napster). Don't ask for permission. Ask for forgiveness.

Doesn't seem like the entertainment companies are in a forgiving mood, so we might as well do it right. (Although, good luck suing me. They can take my grad school loans if they want).
