I personally always liked Patty and thought that she was a good mom. I think that Angela is lucky to have a mother like that and I hope that she'll come to appreciate her. Thanks for sharing!
Re: Appreciating Patty ChaseAs someone who always got on well with and appreciated my mum (not because I'm a particularly good person but because I have an awesome older sister who drilled it into me from a very young age 'mum has to work and take care of us all on her own- dad may seem fun but she's the one that's still here and she's the one who has to deal with all our s**t so try not to give her too much') I find it so difficult to relate to the stereotypical 'I can't stand my mum just because I'm a teenager' character. I couldn't even bring myself to watch My So-Called life that much because her attitude towards her mother irritated me so much.
