If MSCL continued, who would they cast?

I've been thinking about this for sometime now, and I know you can never replace the orig. cast because they are amazing and most child/teen actors these days aren't that great, but if you could cast a whole new MSCL in the 21st century like "degrassi", what actors/actresses would you choose? Or do you think would do good playing that role?

I think Avril Lavigne would be good as Rayanne, maybe.
