Battlestar GalacticaAnd here we go again ... Great season premiere. The show ROCKS on the big screen (well, 1x2meters thanks to my home cinema projector).
I have only one complaint: They cut the opening credits shorter. Now I'm off watching the episode again, this time with the commentary track. Yeah I had read that Sci Fi channel was cutting all of its shows opening credits down. Really a disservice to all the actors and crew. Did you notice though that Battlestar's opening title sequence was almost double in length compared to either of the Stargates. I guess if you pull the kind of ratings BSG does you get a longer opening title sequence. -LanceMan http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=3723
Much more details about the general release of Battlestar Galactica Season One on Sept. 20th. -LanceMan Last nights epsiode
"Valley of Darkness" was good but I thougt a little restrained.
I think they could have had many more fight scenes on the Galactica as the Cyclons rampaged through. I do realize that Moore operates under the "less is more " mantra but I felt I bit deflated at seeing only 3 of the 12 Cyclon Centurions getting taken down. Could be that they are saving money for the mid season cliff hanger of the arrival of the Battlestar Pegasus.
Oh well, off to Best Buy to pick up the UK version of BSG, hopefully on Wednesday. -LanceMan Battlestar continues to deliver...
Have we seen the last of Caprica? With Helo and Starbuck gone how much chance will there be that we will see the Resistance again?
For any of you out there who haven't seen the series yet and wish to (and perhaps lack access to North American Cable) PM me and I will gladly send you some VHS tapes and get you caught up. I have buddy back in Vegas who lacks cable and I am keeping him up to date, 2 episodes at a time. -LanceMan
You could always try Doctor Who when it debuts on Sci-Fi 19 March. Definitely some of the best television transmitted in 2005.
"Sometimes things happen between people that you don't really expect. And sometimes the things that are important are the ones that seem the weirdest or the most wrong, and those are the ones that change your life."
Jessie, "Once and Again" Battlestar Season 3 won't start in the US until October.
This maybe due to the 10 episode arc to air online set between 2nd and 3rd Season: http://www.ifmagazine.com/new.asp?article=3039 Should be interesting. Also details on the release of the 2nd half of Season 2 on DVD: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5797 Art work can be seen here: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5801 -LanceMan New Season starts on October 6th.
DVDs for the first 2 seasons will all be out I believe by next Tuesday. If you haven't caught the show: please do. It is, IMHO, the best show on TV right now. How good? Like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Babylon 5, Homicide: Life on the Street good? Along with Veronica Mars, it is one of the best written shows out there right now. -LanceMan BattlestarLess than a week to go before the finale of Season Three. I hope the show is doing well in its new date/time slot. We need at least a season four to complete the story! Barring that, there are still rumors of a big screen production...rumors the writers themselves would not quell.
