Horrible Timing!

in my opinion,the reason why the tv show wasn't getting alot of viewers at the time around 1993-94-95 is because of a bad time slot..from which i reemember during those years was:

the twin tower bombings in basement
the O.J. simpson case<<everybody eagerly watched for verdict across the world
the icestorm of 1994-Thousands lost their electricity when record low temperatures hit the east coast. Some students missed more than two weeks of school! Ice froze up everything for what seemed like forever.

Interesting theory that could very well be valid. I also wonder what shows MSCL was up against in its weekly time slot? Any popular series on the other main networks?
