No, no... they can't sue him. That's the surest way to make sure he never sends you ONE RED CENT.

I speak from experience.

Laughing out loud, rolling on the floor and gasping for air! :D Absolutely brillant, keep up the good work. I loved the Jason Skyfeld figure.

As AU finally send email to us updating the DVD status, and still claiming they would send out the lunchbox. Does anyone know whether Gwhiz had been paid yet?

I called Robert yesterday and the man sounded like he was in shock. Thank God they finally got paid.

I want to create a similar shock for all the doublecharged people. (refunds, not quadruple charges).

in light of the unthinkable, perhaps you should rename the thread, "Gwhiz GOT paid."

I can lock this thread and start a new one called GWhiz GOT paid, but I'm not gonna rewrite history.

No need to put the thread in Gore's lockbox, I was just trying to make a joke.

Let's look at the situation with payment to GWhiz. Were there insurmountable obstacles to paying $8,600? I don't think so.

I am not saying it is bad that they got paid. I'm definitely relieved. But just because they finally got paid 3-4 months late, I am not going to throw a parade either.

I am taking the same angle with double charges. I will finally be able to rest once everyone receives their refunds. Should we celebrate when they do? No. It's not like people are winning money here. They just deserve to get their $100 to $300 back.

Hopefully we will start to see refunds this week.

Yeah, I think it is time for me to retire from the DVD forum. For real this time.

I've cancelled and am only waiting on $20 from au. I'm mad that Ross (or an agent of Ross) had my money interest free for eight months and that he managed to suck all the fun out of something that should have been "Happy Happy Joy Joy". If his company has trouble with a $8,700 vendor obligation, god knows where they are going to find the money to ship the dvd, much less the lunchbox. They will probably change the shipping terms to FOB Sacramento.

Anyone with access to a small warehouse, a telephone, email, a database program, a label printer, an online shopping cart and a credit line could have done a better job than anotheruniverse. How hard is it to collect deposit, pay vendors, receive product, collect balance, ship product, get good press for making people happy, repeat?

I will forever remember the anotheruniverse model of collect deposit, collect balance, collect balance again with the option to repeat, pay some vendors when shamed into doing so, refund some people when shamed into doing so (optional), ship some of the product, pay some more vendors to avoid lawsuit (optional), ship rest of the product (optional), refund people owed credits (optional), continue to owe Howard and other freelancers money, fail to respond to future lawsuit regarding lunchbox handles and certificates of authenticity, continue to deny $25,000 was ever owed to Jason or his assigned beneficiaries, enjoy the wrath of a bunch of angry people who just wanted the MSCL dvd box set, a lunchbox and a bonus dvd.

But other than the above, I don't really have anything else to say :(

Don't leave the whole forum. Please stick around and post on the other threads.
