No knock on the BBC version, but I can't wait to see this on the big screen! Andrew Adamson (Shrek) will direct The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Filming is scheduled to begin in New Zealand this July. WETA will be doing the special effects. Walden has optioned the entire series so hopefully all seven books will become films. Wow... thanks for that Candygirl. This is really exciting! And if WETA are doing the special effects, they are bound to be great.

Here's hoping they do all seven films... though I can imagine the marketability would be lost by about film 5.
