Yet another way that AU Suck.

Post by foolishoptimist » Nov 4th 2002, 9:15 am

If you can believe this with all the crap that everyone else has been going through. I've been unable to get AU to take my money!

I'm one of the people who STILL want to order from AU(for the bonus material), yet I can't get AU to send me a bill for the balance. I paid the deposit with a Money Order, but was never given an order no. so I can't pay the remainder owed. I actually want to do this, so that when they come around to processing my order for shipment, I've paid. And they can ship it, or else this is just going to lead to more delays in me recieving my set.

I've submitted through Drygrass, emailed Ross directly, and gotten nowhere. It's unbelievable to realise how many levels on which this company is incompetent. They can't even take money from their customers.

This of course, has given me a little hope though. It's hard to read about all the double charges, and not think this comany is shifty, but if they were, they would be more eager to take as much money as possible before pulling the rug out.

I have a fantasy where they ship it to me and forget to charge me, but I don't see it. Besides, as much as this company sucks, I have no problem paying them(assuming I get what I paid for). Because, let's face it, without them getting BMG to produce it, we wouldn't even be able to get it from Amazon.
The sun's outside the window trying to show us we're all being stupid. All you have to do is look around.

Foolishoptimist,

The number of customers waiting to be charged is inconsequential when compared to the number of people waiting to be refunded. In other words, don't let if make you feel any better about those who were double billed. Only about 5% of those complaints logged by the drygrass.com site are for not charging enough.

However, regardless of whether there is an overbill or underbill it is a good point that AU simply does not respond to emails or calls. I really feel uncomfortable about them shipping this week, because I do not think that they have all of the address information up to date either.

you were exactly like me....i paid a 20 dollar check...and then they screwed up my order ...saying tha ti hadn't paid it...so i called up my bank and had them send a receipt saying that the check was cashed. after that...i didn't have an order number...and they would always tell me: "we're processing them. those who paid by check take longer." so the middle of june after i kept pestering them, they finally just gave me my order number. so i relaxed a little. however, they wouldnt charge me. month after month...no charge. it was really frustrating. i kept calling...and calling...and calling...and everytime they'd tell me, "we have your order, you'll be charged when the sets go out." and i thought that this was strange compared to everyone else.

finally, come october, i finally just cancelled andwent wtih amazon because i probably wont even watch the bonus disk with material from teh producer; i'd watch it if the cast was on there. and the lunchbox...i t would have been nice, but it would have collected dust.

so...seems like you're in the smae boat as me...i just got tired of au and cancelled. i don't think i'll be seeing my 20 dollars back....
