BMG revelation to Ross - very interesting ...

Found this in the thread entitled "the real deal with Another Universe".

If this wasn't so blatent, it'd almost be funny.

I heard from the VP of sales at BMG yesterday regarding a number of things, one of which almost makes sense now.

He told me he thought someone might be trying to take away the MSCL DVD from us and move it to another company. It won't happen, but that doesn't stop people from trying.

interesting in light of everything that has occurred on this board lately (Ventura; amazon.com; majority of people cancelling; filing complaints in various venues; deadlines and threats etc etc etc).

I am really concerned about what is going on and would like to get to the bottom of this.

+ AU had an exclusive deal with BMG (they produce the DVDs)
+ however: AU agreed that BMG may sell the DVD via Ventura Distributions to other retailers. AU gets 2$ per DVD-set sold via other retailers
+ don't ask us why AU agreed to this deal (which means that the DVDs aren't exclusive anymore, just he Bonus-DVDs and the lunchbox)
+ as of now neither the lunchbox company nor BMG have been paid by AU (also Ross claimed the opposite several times)
+ as of now the Bonus DVD isn't produced

any corrections?

What makes you think that the Bonus disk and the lunch box are not being produced ???

There are DOUBTS that they won't, but that is mere speculation...

Of course, AU actions move these speculations to the rank of probability, but there is still a chance that they will be produced.

(Unless I missed something during the week-end ).

I did miss something... The post by Robert.

This is getting worse and worse...

I had really decided to wait and see, but I might not wait so long and ask for a refund later today or tomorrow...

I want to know how the BMG meeting goes first.

That post was refering to me. He thought I was trying to conspire to ruin his DVD deal. He was also making future excuses for when the DVD went to Ventura. Remember: he had to approve whether other retailers could get this DVD set.

By the time he posted that message, he had already approved the deal with Ventura. So, it's an inaccurate post. Meanwhile, it is 2 months after that post and still no payment for the DVDs.

No, AU saved $2 off the sets THEY bought (the sets you all paid for). They make nothing off the sets being sold at Amazon.com and other retailers.

ok, so I didn't understand that correctly before. The important point however is, that AU agreed that the set is sold by other retailers

Maybe someone would like to send a gift book over to AU. Something along the lines of "The Art of Successful Negotiation"
